Skills You’ll Learn
Hello!
I'm Nana who does urban drawing with pen and watercolor.
Nowadays, when traveling has become a part of everyday life, you can take pictures of unusual scenery from the outside just by carrying a cell phone in hand. Also, each person uses these photo materials in various ways to create their own things. The person who organizes a travel journal is like leaving a picture of the feeling of a trip along with the text.
Paintings are great for that role, too. However, there are many people who are hesitant because they have no predilection for painting or are afraid of sketching or coloring. Why not get rid of the vague fear and pressure of painting and fill your sketchbook with pen drawing and coloring?
Go outside and see the fresh scenery, sit in that space and transfer the scenery you see in front of you to a sketchbook, or sit in a house or cafe and draw a place you have left as a photo. From the smell of the travel destination to the feeling of the wind blowing on your skin. Every time I look at that picture Memories of that timeI will remember this vividly.
Let's start having fun with me.
In my class, I'm going to sketch with a pen using a ballpoint pen everywhere around me and try to color with paint. Using a variety of pen lines with just a ballpoint pen, I can draw not only wonderful landscapes, but also small props around me without problems. To be able to get used to handling a pen Various hatchesLet's start by practicing with!
A watercolor painting where the harmony of color and water creates a work
For those who are hesitant during the coloring phase, there are many people who feel that it is not easy to adjust the water or that it is difficult to color. You can learn how to apply paint to the tip of the brush when applying color, what colors to mix to create deep colors when mixing colors, and what part or color to start coloring when you start coloring.
Also, you can draw an atmospheric picture with just one or two colors of paint and a simple method of adjusting the amount of water. There are days when the atmosphere is memorable, like a rainy day, a foggy day, a snowy day, or a day when the sun is intense. You can find the color of the day like this and draw a picture with the impression of that color.
I can see as much as I know!
Take a moment to take a closer look at everything from the small items on my desk to the common things I see around me. If you observe all objects and draw down the observations with your hands, you will be able to reduce the burden on painting. I hope you will have the experience of being able to look back at things that you would normally overlook, and as a result, you will be able to draw more and more objects.
The final goal of the class is to finish a sketchbook!

nana's artclass
I'm Seo Hyung-sook (Nana) who runs a small Japanese style room and works privately in a small town in Gyeonggi-do. After teaching entrance examination art for a long time, I miss the open nature on my holidays and go outdoors, and I don't just capture the natural scenery I see there with my own eyes, but I leave pictures that I can remember for a long time.
The sketchbooks I left with these pictures are piled up in one or two volumes, and every time I look at those pictures, I naturally remember the places I visited and how I felt at that time, and I am building up travel records that are more valuable than anything else.
People who meet in outdoor urban areas and students who are into painting say that it is fun to be able to focus on something and get carried away without any worries when drawing together.
I hope that those who take this class will be able to share that kind of joy.
