It was a great opportunity to meet all of you at Class 101 in a class called “Smooth iPad Drawing with Water”. It's so nice to see you!

As I remember, I always enjoyed drawing characters. When I was a kid, I spent a lot of time alone, and what I spent a long time together at that time was painting, especially portrait painting. Through the facial expressions, mood, and hand gestures of characters The feeling of communicatingI liked it, and I received it because of that upI liked it. I think I also enjoyed watching anime and manga. As a result, I naturally drew a lot of characters.

I've really liked painting, and I'm sure you'll love it.

I fell in love with the appeal of digital drawing, where you can create a variety of effects such as pencil, watercolor, oil, ink, etc. with a single device, so I started drawing with my favorite iPad. At first, I was simply bored, and I drew each sheet for days, tens, and hundreds of days, and I saw that I really liked painting. I'm also convinced that I'll love it in the future.

I want to share these valuable experiences of feeling fulfilled, empowered, and comforted from painting!

A dreamy color that seems to be filled with water, as if dreaming

Even with the same brush, the feel changes a lot depending on how you use it. Let's also learn how to create a soft, moist feel with a brush that you've always asked me a lot about, and how to color characters according to their mood.

Even if you haven't drawn a lot of pictures, if you look at the material with me, frame it step by step, model it, refine it, and paint the color tone by tone, it will be a complete picture.

A lot of people ask me about color. I usually choose the color by looking at the mood (warmth, coolness) first, because the color is different depending on the mood.

As I draw a lot, my painting skills may improve, but many of them come to realize what colors I like and what color combinations I like. Every time, I save my favorite colors as a palette, and try to add these and that colors according to my mood that day, and paint the right colors to get a sense of color. I'll help you know what colors you like and how to combine them.

To be able to draw pictures that convey emotions as they are

Rather than characters with bright expressions, I prefer to draw characters that are slightly expressionless, and may look sad or gloomy in a way, in calm colors.

A picture with a bright, warm smile can be comforting to people, but I think a person with a slightly sad expression can also be comforting depending on who accepts it. That's why I enjoyed drawing characters with calm colors that looked a bit sad.

When I draw portraits, the part I hold on to for the longest time and care about is my eyes.

You can show the character's emotions through their eyes, and if you put emotion into a picture, you can get the feeling that you're watching a video, not just a picture. Also, let's take a look at how to draw hair and create a natural expression like flowing water to match the character.

It's a fascinating thing to complete a picture.

Being able to complete a picture with my own hands to the end is a really fascinating thing. You can feel a lot of emotion and even a sense of accomplishment with a finished piece. Through this class, students will definitely feel the joy of drawing on a blank sheet of paper, even if it's overwhelming to draw a picture on a blank sheet of paper and finish it.
