Dancing, Actually, Not a Big Deal.

This is DANCER A.P.'s original choreography.

Hi, I'm DANCER A.P. I'm an artist with about 4 years of experience as an offline broadcast dance instructor and about 10 years of experience in stage and music activities, team activities, and informal teaching.

I've been an idol, a hip-hopper, and a dancer, and I've spent a lot of time in music, and the most common words I've heard when introducing myself are "amazing" and "amazing".

But, dance is not new or difficult at all.

It's just a way of moving your body that's a little different from other behaviors, but it's nothing special! As with anything that uses your body, if you learn how to use your body in detail and practice consistently so that your body remembers what you've learned, you can do it. It's not like you have a disease that can't be cured, you just have a different starting point than everyone else.

If there is one thing that is simple enough for everyone to do, and one thing that can make everyone feel special, it's dance.

As a dance instructor, I've been teaching this to my students for years, and I created this class to help break down the barriers to dance for more people.

What Skills Do I Need to Dance Beautifully?

00:34 ~ DANCER A.P's original choreography.

Recently, dance has become more accessible online through various platforms. Despite this, it's hard to find videos that explain the principles of dance in an easy-to-understand way for people who are new to dance. In short, it's the basics. I call it the basics because even the basics are the foundation of one move and one move leads to another.

In addition, there are many tutorials for learning K-Pop choreography, but it's hard to find one that gives you tips on how to make each move feel like the idols do. In my class, instead of teaching you the choreography, I teach you how to get that "feel"!

Learn How the Movements Work!

I know I said that dancing isn't a big deal, but when you're working out, you need to know the basics of what you're doing to get the most out of it. In the same way, in order to get that feeling I mentioned earlier, you need to have the basics down, which means you need to learn the underlying techniques.

The difference between someone who learns the same choreography and dances it, and someone who doesn't, is enormous! The speed at which you learn the choreography, whether you're following a teacher's lead or watching a video and memorizing it yourself, is going to make a difference, because if you know how the movement works, you can see the natural flow from one move to the next, and you can quickly recognize why that part of the body can move the way it does.

Plus, I'll be learning basic technique, but I'll do it in a friendly way that's more detailed and easy to understand than a drill.

First Things First: Let’s Get Your Body in the Best Possible State for Dancing.

First, stretch. You know the drill, but you're probably not sure where to stretch, how much to stretch, or in what order, so you end up just shaking your hands and feet. That's why we're going to show you how to do basic stretches, and in what order.

Second, we're going to learn about jumping, which is, simply put, warming up! Once you've softened up with stretches before you start moving hard, the next step is to warm up by running in place. Practice jumping in place, kicking your feet out in front and to the side, or moving forward and backward.

Let’s Get Into the Basics!

This is A.P original choreography.

You'll learn the basics of choreography in general, and K-Pop in particular, from the ground up, starting with isolation and moving on to waves, bounces, and even steps! The order of the chapters is designed to cover the most basic things possible.

When it comes to waves, you only think of it as waving your body, but it's not just about that, but after practicing isolating your body, and then work on each move so that you can showcase your natural, gorgeous, personalized waves. Since there is a huge range of bounces, I'm going to tell you about hip-hop bounces borrowed from K-pop.

Let’s Start by Repeating the Basics We Learned Earlier Into a Routine.

In fact, it's safe to say that you can choreograph a dance with just the basics, so we're going to put together a simple routine for each type of bounce so that you can try them out to music.

If you practice basic skills that might be boring to the beat like simple choreography, you'll have a lot more fun learning them!

Let’s Get Used to Counting.

When you go to a dance school to learn to dance, you'll most likely be taught to do one-two-three-four and count. But if you're a first-time dancer and you're trying to learn an unfamiliar dance in that way, it can be hard to keep up with the music.

Sure, it can be easier to memorize by lyrics or melody, but in my classes, no matter what dance you're learning, what video you're watching, or who you're learning from! I want to make sure that you don't have a hard time keeping up with the counts, and I'll teach you how to do that through repetition and consistent instruction.

Tips for Getting That Unique K-Pop Feel!

Each genre has its own groove, its own line, and for some reason, K-POP, or idol dance, has become a genre of its own. Did you know that K-POP has its own unique feel? If you're into K-POP, you're probably especially aware of this. K-POP borrows from a lot of different genres to make up its choreography, but it still has its own color.

People who have studied hip-hop, people who have studied waxing, and people who have studied various other genres have a much different feel when they dance idol dances, so in my classes, I give tips on how to make K-Pop feel unique!

In addition, there are some unique moves that have become popular around the world, which you can easily see on TikTok and YouTube, but are difficult to learn in a class!

Go Beyond K-Pop and Make It Your Own!

While this class is centered around the feel of K-Pop, kisil dancing is just a way to express the feelings you want to project. Once you get the basics down, and learn how to create different feelings, you'll be able to build your own!

It's okay to come in with the mindset of "I'll try dancing! How hard can it be!". That's enough. We're here to show you that dance is not far from you, and it's not too hard for you to try.

I'm Here to Make Dancing Easy!

DANCER A.P

Nice to meet you, this is DANCER A.P.

I've walked quite an eventful path with music.

At first, I became an idol trainee and solved room and board under a ring full of water just because I liked dancing and rap, but I wanted to continue playing music, so I released some kind of hip-hop album, and even so, I went to Allegre University with a musical instrument because I wanted to know about music theory that I had never learned before...

There was a lot of talk! Unfortunately, everything didn't go as intended.

No matter what happens, it's always a problem for reasons other than work that's not difficult work. So, at one time I wanted to give up the path I had walked so far, but even in the music world The only thing that made me endureThis is a dance.

As much as dancing is, I feel that dancing is a dance even when I'm practicing, when I'm struggling, or when I'm in pain due to muscle pain. Even after finishing work by dancing, I relieve stress by dancing. There was a time when I rented a rehearsal room, played any song in that small space, and then danced as my body wanted, and I was vaguely happy.

Dance is a language. When words don't work, when we can't hear, we use our bodies. Dancing is just one of those means. So it's something that anyone can challenge.

I hope it will be a field where many people are familiar with dance, enjoy it, and try it out without difficulty. I'll tell you again and again, there are people who can't even try dancing because it's difficult. I don't know how much I enjoy dancing for people like that, How wonderful is dance a language that can make you I want to let you know. Also, I'd like to share all my own tips so that you can enjoy dancing even more.

As much as I love dance, as dance is a place where I have come a long way and only settled down! I will do my best so that you can experience the feelings I have experienced and still have together.

Until everyone who takes this class can make the most of their own feelings like idols and dancers!

Show what you want to express through dance!
