Transparent watercolor with a new texture using gofun, a traditional Japanese art material
In this class, you will draw illustrations with a new texture incorporating the characteristics of Japanese painting into transparent watercolors. Welcome to the fascinating world of gofen watercolor, which is different from basic transparent watercolors and Japanese paintings!
Okayuri style watercolor skills starting with a coloring book
The most characteristic of this class is the watercolor skill unique to “Okayuri,” which is pale and painful. Even beginners can rest assured!
First, let's start with a coloring book based on the line drawing worksheet. Line drawings are also provided in PDF format, so you can practice with different color schemes over and over again.
Tips for drawing faces and hands well
It is no exaggeration to say that the most difficult part of drawing portraits is drawing a well-balanced face and drawing a clean hand.
In this class, I will teach you tips and practice techniques that anyone can draw easily and well.
The secret of a gentle fantasy color scheme
The all-in-one kit in this class consists of 19 colors of watercolors carefully selected by “Okayuri”.
I'll tell you the secrets of the fantasy color scheme of “Okayuri”, such as the differences between warm and cool colors, and how to combine each color!

Oka Yuuri
Graduated from Asahigaoka High School Art Department/Yokohama Art University painting course
I've been fond of drawing since I was young, and I started working as an artist around 2017.
Currently based in Kanto, he is active at exhibitions and events all over the country.
The main production theme is emotion, something vague and ephemeral.
The complicated and ambiguous mind of adolescence is repeated in the language of flowers, and depicted as a girl.
I carefully draw colors, exciting expressions, and flowing lines.
Creator Interviews
Q. How did your teacher get into watercolor using gofun?
I really liked the texture of Japanese paintings and appreciated them a lot, but the drawing didn't suit me... I couldn't finish the work I expected. It all started when I thought that I could bring out a similar appeal even in my main production of transparent watercolors, which I had been doing for a long time.
Q. What kind of experience do you want the students to have through this class?
I want you to feel the fun and possibilities of watercolors, and enjoy creating while arranging them freely even after attending the course!
Please give a word to the students!
I hope I can not only learn, but also convey a lot of the appeal of watercolor. Thank you very much for your support!
