[All-in-one kit]

1. Uchida stainless eraser

Place it on a pastel coat, erase it with an eraser or kneaded eraser, and use. It can also be used like a ruler, and since it is made of stainless steel, it is durable.

2. cherry blossom decolase pastel white

When you want to make it sparkly and gorgeous, or to express light, etc., it is used by layering it on top of applying it with pastel. It's fun.

3. Holbein Pastel Fixatif 100ml

Color stop spray applied to the finish. Since it is petroleum-based, it does not bleed and dries quickly. It has an odor, so be careful when using it outdoors or ventilating it.

4. ceramic knife

It is used when scraping pastels. Comes with a storage cover, so you can rest assured when not in use.

5. Talence Nouvelle Curry Pastel 48 Color Set

It is a type of pastel called hard pastel. It's hard to get color on your hands when you hold it, and it's easy to clean up afterwards. Use it by sharpening it with a ceramic knife.

6. Stabilo Curve Otero Pastel Colored Pencils 12 Color Set

The core part is made of pastel. In addition to being able to express details, I also use it by blurring it with my finger after painting.

7. MONO Mono Zero Round Eraser with Refill Eraser

Draw thin lines and draw patterns.

8. tracing paper sticky notes

I use it to make patterns.

9. A4 size cutting mat

It is used when cutting drawing paper and making patterns. It is convenient because it has a 10mm square line and can be cut straight while measuring.

10. 15mm wide masking tape

Stick it on the four sides of the drawing paper.

11. Nouvelle eraser

kneaded eraser. Cut it into a size that is easy to use and use it to express clouds, waves, light, etc.

12. Drapas Sketchbook A5 50 Sheets

Construction paper with a smooth surface. It is also suitable for expressions of light and art where you want to make use of whiteness such as waves. Cut it to a size of 15 cm x 15 cm and use it.

Hello. I'm Atelier Moesai (Atelier More), a pastel art instructor and artist.

I came across pastel art about 4 years ago when I was exhausted from raising children. I was so moved by the finish that I didn't think I had drawn myself, so I decided to become an instructor on the spot.

Currently, we teach pastel art to about 100 people a year, mainly online, from 2 years old to people in their 90s.

I would be happy if you could experience flowers and nature with pastel art through this class, and have a heart-warming experience.

Creator Interviews

Q. How did your teacher get into pastel art?

A. When I was exhausted from raising children, I was looking for an easy hobby that I could do at home, and I happened to see pastel art on Instagram. It was just fun while I was drawing, and I completely forgot about my fatigue and worries (laughs). When I saw the finished work, I was moved by the workmanship that I didn't think I had drawn myself, and I fell in love with pastel art.

Q. What kind of experiences do you want the students to have through this class?

A. The moment my heart soars when I see something beautiful. The moment you return to your childhood and become obsessed with it.I would be happy if people could enjoy the fun of drawing pictures with their fingers in the modern age of digital heyday. I think it would be nice if you could incorporate pastel art as one of your hobbies that you can continue for a long time at your own pace during your time at home.

Q. Please give a word to the students!

A. Do you think “painting is something that talented people do” or “I can't do it without a heart for painting”? I want to draw a picture! Anyone can start at any time as long as they have that idea. Please feel the joy of freely expressing yourself with me through pastel art!
