🎨 Hello!

I'm Maru, an illustrator

Nice to meet you! As a freelance illustrator, MARU works in fields such as illustrations for magazines, websites, and advertisements.

As for the art materials, I use watercolors for analog ones, and iPads for digital ones, and I use them properly depending on the job.

In particular, when I was an art college student, I wanted to preserve what I felt and saw with my skin while studying abroad in England,Antique-style illustrationsI began to draw.

As you post the illustrations you've drawn so far on Instagram, how do you draw them? The number of people asking me if I want to see what I'm drawing has increased.

I think a lot of people have come into contact with watercolors, so I decided to start a class at CLASS101!

Watercolor paints that everyone has touched at least once.

Do you think you have to draw on special drawing paper to draw pictures? This class does not require techniques such as blurring and water dilution, which are characteristic of watercolors.

If you draw on high-quality paper, the brush will leave just the right amount of brush touch, and anyone can draw an antique-style illustration.

I will teach you everything from rough sketches to tips for choosing motifs and colors in an easy-to-understand manner, even for beginners.

Why don't you start a watercolor lesson with MARU?

antique color scheme

There are so many colors, and I'm worried about what kind of colors to use.

In this class, you will also learn about the color scheme and color making of dull colors.

Draw a variety of antique motifs

We will pick up various motifs and practice so that not only beginners but also those who are used to watercolors can enjoy it.

I will also teach you tips for capturing the characteristics of each so that you can draw many variations.

Draw by combining motifs

The ultimate goal of this class is to combine motifs together to complete a one-piece picture.

For those of you who “can draw simple illustrations, but it's kind of difficult if you make a single picture,” I'm going to finish my usual tips for combining motifs and color schemes.

Complete your own original illustration.
