Hello, I'm Gayageum Hong Tutor. I've lived my whole life as a gayageum performer and educator. Traditional music is intuitive music where teaching methods are difficult to systematize. I also had an extraordinary love for my juniors and disciples because I was able to complete the sound through countless worries and trial and error in order to make a good sound.
So I posted a video of Gayageum Sanjo for majors on YouTube, and surprisingly, ordinary hobbyists gave me a huge thank you, saying it was so helpful. I had no idea that hobbyists also had such a great desire to do well. In particular, Gayageum Sanjo, a traditional solo song, is really hard to get that flavor. Therefore, I wanted everyone to play the sensibility of this era by melting their favorite songs, pop, and OSTs into Gayageum. I don't think I should only play folk songs or sanjo!
The purity of the sound of Gayageum is healing in itself as the sound of nature itself. Playing my favorite songs multiplies my sense of joy and fulfillment. Just like a private lesson next to you, you'll learn a solid foundation and detailed playing techniques based on the principles of the instrument.
