What is fascia therapy?

Fascia can be said to be a membrane between skin and muscle that wraps around the outer surface of a muscle. Membranes may be thought of as thick, but they are thin tissues because they surround the outside of the muscle and act to protect the muscle.


Of course, there are differences in strength and thickness depending on the part. It is the bottom part of the skin, and since it surrounds muscles, it also plays a role in protecting muscles as well as bones, organs, nerves, and blood vessels. If excessive stress occurs on the muscles or if the muscles are overstrained, pain may also be felt in the fascia, which is close to the muscle.



Continuous stress occurs on the muscles, and if the state of tension continues, the contraction of the muscles does not allow smooth blood supply to the area, so blood vessels are compressed, and blood flow decreases. Also, nerve fibers are also stimulated, leading to pain.


Pain in the fascia occurs due to heavy muscle use, and muscle cannot be used smoothly due to myofascial pain, so the vicious cycle is repeated. Therefore, it is necessary to relax muscles that are too stiff, and even the fascia affected by them should be softened with a massage. Only then can there be smooth blood flow and nerve flow throughout the body.



From time to time, it is necessary to exercise to contract and relax muscles a lot, and at the same time, relaxation and stretching are also necessary. Also, as a result, I need a fascia massage time where I can take a deep breath and actively relax for a while. So in this class, we're going to take care of my body by relaxing and treating muscles and surrounding tissues through fascia therapy.

Fascia therapy, why do you recommend it?

For office workers who always sit or stand for a long time, I was able to see the effects of stretching to reduce swelling through fascia therapy and massages using yoga rings to change body flow in a good direction, and balance the body in a state where the body is broken or leaning due to old, incorrect postures.


Also, this is my experience, and my lower body is always thicker than my body type, but I have visually become a lot thinner by massaging using constant yoga rings and doing exercises to fill the necessary muscles and return them to the right place.


In particular, it's called nasolabial gait because I used to dance, and my calves were really bad because of those posture movements. But is it much thinner now than it used to be? Getting better? I'm on the side!

Hello everyone I'm Irinah, the bodymentor.

While majoring in dance, being a trainer, pilates, yoga instructor, rehabilitation exercise therapy, and going through many paths... I hope now is a time where I can relieve my body pain and awaken the feeling of a hardened body on my own without having to go to a specialized spa or shop.
