English! I spent enough money and time, but...

Do you feel like you're still in place?

🤷‍♀️ What if I still haven't pierced my ears no matter how hard I listen?

🙅 What if you have a lot of words and sentences in your head but can't confidently pull them out of your mouth?

There's a high probability that's because of the English pronunciation!

Hallo I have been teaching English for over 10 years, English lovingThis is Sung Yeeun. I started studying English in earnest when I was 15 years old, and after attending the National Academy High School, I went to Berkeley, so many people were curious about how I had studied English.

particularly how I am Pronunciation and accent just like living in AmericaI was puzzled if they were using. In fact, I had never traveled to an “English-speaking country”, whether it was the US or the UK, until I went to college.

Even when I went to college, “America Western Where did you come from?” I was asked a lot of questions. When I answered, “I've lived in Korea all my life, and I've only been in the US for 2 months,” the local friends who asked were surprised.

Aren't you curious too?

Having lived in Korea all my life, how did I have English pronunciation and accent that would confuse even native speakers!

Of course, I also went through a lot of trial and error!

When I was a middle school student who loved pop songs, no matter how much I watched the lyrics and read along, I had the experience that my tongue kept twisting. Before I had mastered pronunciation and intonation, even simple listening was often confusing. When I came to live in the US, I was envious when I saw my friends pronouncing like native speakers. In fact, even when I went to the US, I had trouble communicating with supermarket staff because I didn't know that the pronunciation of “almond,” which I thought I already knew the pronunciation, was “ah- far away.”

🌟That made me even more aware of the importance of pronunciation and intonation 🌟

I'll share all of my experience and know-how in this class.

“Even if you don't like your pronunciation and accent, you just need to speak English well”

Are you thinking about it?

I think this idea is half right, but half wrong. I changed my position if a foreigner learning Korean said this to you, what would you say?

You'll probably be bothered. Correct pronunciation and intonation are definitely part of KoreanBecause it is. Korean people also often go to school to correct their voice if they have a low voice or poor Korean pronunciation. English pronunciation and intonation, the better I also feel confident Better communicationI can do it.

Actually, the first thing we learn when we're born is pronunciation!

According to world-renowned linguist Noam Chomsky (Noam Chomsky), humans are born and begin language learning by distinguishing between verbal and nonverbal sounds. Babbling babies don't know the meaning of the word “mom,” but their mom says, “Mom! Mom! ' If you keep talking, it's like following that sound. Some sounds remain just sounds, and others become perceptible to the brain as language.

But until now, we've been learning English backwards.

I had to get used to the pronunciation of the vocabulary, but I was busy memorizing only the meaning. How do you hear words you can't pronounce correctly, and how do you keep memorizing them? English isn't difficult. It's the only way for humans to learn languages! It's just that we didn't follow that method.

Linguist Noam Chomsky defines Universal Grammar as a language system that all humans are born with in common.

One-line summary: Universal Grammar is a system of principles and laws that are essential requirements for language acquisition that applies to all languages

From now on, in the order in which we learned our native language,

Let's start English!

How long does pronunciation correction take?

It takes time to learn English vocalization and be able to read any sentence naturally,

With just a few simple tips, you can correct your pronunciation a lot faster than you think!

Do I have to learn pronunciation with phonetic symbols?

It wouldn't hurt if you knew anything more. However, when I learned English, I didn't look at phonetic symbols, and I don't think I need to practice pronunciation with phonetic symbols. It's like we didn't need phonetic symbols to learn Korean pronunciation.

Even if you have a theoretical understanding of how to read phonetic symbols,

1) Differences between English and Korean vocalization 2) Principles of English pronunciation 3) Principles of English accent formationIf you don't know, it's very difficult to pronounce it correctly by yourself.

It's much more helpful to listen to the pronunciation once more, whether in a dictionary or in a sentence, than to recognize it as a visual symbol. We learned Korean like that, and we still use it well without any problems! Above all, if you read English sentences after understanding the principles, the pronunciation will be organized in a systematic way in your head.

🌟 It's like Korean has become our native language.

Of course, I read 2 books for a more solid theoretical lecture.

You don't have to worry about phonetic symbols

All you need to do is feel free to follow my lessons.

🌏 I'm not a native speaker

I tend to avoid using abstract, exaggerated expressions that don't have clear standards, such as “conquering English.” No matter how much it is an advertising phrase, I'm not sure how much English I need to speak to use the phrase “conquer English.”

For example, if Korean is our native language, have we all 'conquered' Korean? 🧐🧐🧐

But I can definitely promise you this!

If you enjoy listening to this course and continue to practice according to the method I suggest, before you know it,

English pronunciation and intonation are at least as free as me You'll be able to use it.

I'll be here to help you through the end 😎😎😎
