“So why are French kids different?”
“How do French children think creatively?”
Surprisingly, the most basic area of education in France is art. French children who learn to draw before words have the power to solve problems on their own through painting. The secret of French education, which I discovered by visiting the French education scene and various local families in person, lies in the lifestyle of art.
I captured French art education as it was.
'Korea's only French National School Art Class'
Using fabrics and various art techniques, art classes at the French National School provide children with a variety of experiences and stimuli to help them grow their creativity and expressiveness, so they can think and act on their own. Presented by Jute, the only French art education institution in Korea Meet French children's art classes.

Created with my own thoughts <My work>
This class consists of a total of four chapters, and you can experience increasing your ability to think for yourself by working in each chapter through the process of self-exploration, self-regulation, and self-creation. I experience self-exploration and self-regulation through French picture book activities, and work with various fabric-based techniques and objects. Also, as a process of self-creation, you will explore the works of existing artists and expand them into your own works.
The kits used in the work for free activities are not structured products, but unstructured materials, which children can choose and mix and use on their own. The finished works for each chapter can be kept for a long time by decorating every corner of the house with fabric garlands, cushions, decorative objects, canvas frames, etc.
Chapter1.
Express yourself with your own senses!
| Inspired by <Monsieur Casimir, Monsieur Cashmere>
Artwork 1. About me board
Artwork 2. My favorite things
Artwork 3. A book that introduces me
Uncle Cashmere is always happy. Watch how Uncle Cashmere from the fairy tale is faithful to himself every day through his daily life I think about what is the secret of an old man who lives his own life in a small and happy way. Learn about me, who is more important than anyone else in this world, find out what you like, and find ways to be happy.
Chapter 2.
Express your work with the aesthetics of slowness and your own rhythm!
| Inspired by <petit escargot rouge, red snail>
Artwork 1. Picture drawn in black and white
Artwork 2. The coolest snail
Artwork 3. A town where snails live
Seeing the <small red snails> represented in black, white, and red, I experience the aesthetics of slowness. Understand that content is conveyed even when using simple words rather than many words, and develop moderation and self-control by working with restrained colors.
For kids who are familiar with colorful digital media in a variety of colors, the world of black and white can be a bit strange and boring. However, once you step into the world of black and white and look for subtly different contrasts, you can experience visual comfort and the splendor of a black and white world.
Chpater 3.
Let's transfer the nature of Australia to the canvas!
<Artist to Artist Project #1 >
l Elizabeth Langreiter, Elizabeth Langreiter
Artwork 1. sea bookmark
Artwork 2. The summer sea I loved
Artwork 3. Snowy ski resort
Admire the beautiful ocean of Australia and the works of Elizabeth Langretter, and draw various aspects of the ocean using drawing materials. It represents summer and winter, the sea, and a snow-covered ski resort, so that one material can be interpreted and used in various ways. Also, through knife drawing, I experience that not only brushes but also various tools can be used as drawing tools.
Chapter 4.
Let's express it with pastel paint drops!
<Artist to Artist Project #2 >
l Lee Se-hwa
Artwork 1. Paintings drawn with water droplets
Artwork 2. Three lives on a gypsum statue
Artwork 3. object design
While appreciating the work of artist Lee Se-hwa, who creates works that bring good luck, we will understand the artist's intentions and study techniques. In addition, I will design my own work world and study the appropriate colors and techniques to express it.

ZUT! Jute Atelier is an art class at the French National School, which uses fabrics and various art techniques. It is a French art education program that helps children grow their creativity and expressiveness.
I studied French literature, stayed in Lille, a French educational city, and studied the uniqueness of French education that makes children think. I studied art education in the United States after going through the French Art Educator Master Course at Jute France, and in 2013 < JUT! We are launching > in Korea and introducing French art education to Korea.
We provide a variety of themes and experiences to help them grow into thinking children who freely express their thoughts.
It is attracting attention as a program that enhances children's creativity by hosting essay classes such as the French National School ECOLE Maternelle BARA, the French School of France in Seoul, the Seoul French Cultural Center, the Storytelling Class D Museum, and the Pangyo Museum of Contemporary Children's Art.
Currently, we are preparing various projects in collaboration with Sidoni, France, between Europe and Korea.
<Book 1> Francie Ay learns to draw before words.
French art education book introduced by Jute
“So why are French kids different?”
On behalf of Korean moms who have these questions, I visited and observed French educational institutions and six families in person, and completed the final version of the practical application of the French education method!
<Book 2> Bonjour, French child play
“French way to play on their own for children aged 3 to 7 who have more time to play”
The creativity of French children begins with “play”! French children's “play on their own” that children choose for themselves and that mom and dad enjoy together
French children who add their own color to play have a new game every time. French children decide games, make and revise rules, and fill in their own drawing paper called play. In this small process, many senses such as social ability, creativity, resilience, and problem solving ability naturally awaken. Now let's enjoy playing with your kids through 50 of the most popular games in French families!
