“Are you getting used to creating digital illustrations and want to further improve your skills?”

This class is recommended for those who are intermediate in digital illustration or above, and those who want to be able to draw high-definition digital landscape illustrations at CLIP STUDIO.

In this class, I will teach you expressions such as angle of view, depth of field, sky, clouds, time changes, etc. involving the physical knowledge that former lens designer Anyo has cultivated so far.

In addition to how to draw a background using a photograph, you will learn how to draw a one-piece picture with characters in the order of the process. With theoretical explanations, people who have drawn somehow until now should be able to grasp the feeling that they are drawing with understanding.

“How to draw the sky and clouds”

How to draw evening differenceHow to draw landscape illustrations with characters”

If you feel a hurdle in the background or are worried about where to start to draw a background, you can easily create a background by using a photo.

In this class, I will explain the “way of thinking” part of production as much as possible, so it is a content that can be applied to illustration production for various scenes and patterns other than the scenes to be created this time. I would like those aiming to improve their level of digital illustration production to take this course.

This class has intermediate to applied content, and you will create a total of 3 illustrations.

※The image above is an image of the work produced by the class. It's different from what you actually produce.

First, I will create 2 background illustrations with the sky as the main one, with a time difference between noon and evening. I will explain how to draw the sky and clouds depending on the time of day, and how to draw man-made objects using photographs.

After that, I will create one landscape illustration for the character+background. I will use a photograph as a background and explain how to blend in with the characters.

Why don't you aim to further improve your skills with “high-definition digital landscape illustrations,” where you draw backgrounds with theory using photographs?

Creator Interviews

Q. What was the focus of this curriculum?

So that it can be applied to illustration production other than the scene to be created this time, I made it so that I can explain the part of the root way of thinking in landscape illustration production as much as possible.

Q. What kind of people would you like to take the course?

It targets intermediate and above people who have become accustomed to operating illustration production software (CLIP STUDIO). However, in illustration production, it is very important to first grasp the series of production flows, so I definitely want beginners to take a look at it.

Q. Please tell me the unique points of this class that are different from other classes!

By explaining the core parts in accordance with physical theory rather than superficial know-how, we aim for classes with content that can be applied in various situations.
