Skills You’ll Learn
This is a class for drawing simple and unique digital illustrations using Procreate.
For each part, the lesson progresses step by step: face → hairstyle → bust up → full body, so even beginners can acquire solid skills. Whether you look at it from a person or look at it yourself,Being able to draw illustrations that you can confidently say are absolutely cute,Please enjoy the world of stylish and simple illustrations while aiming for it.
Even beginners are fine! Learn the tricks to create a sense of air and slack, and draw elegant illustrations
This class starts from the basics so that people who are new to digital illustration can easily participate. The software I use is Procreate, but it's not a lesson that makes full use of difficult functions or techniques.
You'll learn how to draw as an extension of an analog-like feel.
In order to draw a good illustration, it is important to express a fluffy atmosphere and a sense of looseness, but drawing well-balanced with few lines is more difficult than you can imagine.
But get the hang of itJust by adding a little bit of deformation, you can quickly transform into a finish that has been taken up a notch. Detailed points on where and how to deform will be revealed to the public in the lesson. After taking the course, you'll be able to understand the key points for drawing cute illustrations that have a strong presence.
If you wear all 6 types of hairstyles, you can freely arrange your hair
A hairstyle that affects the character's impression. You Semoto's illustrations are characterized by their cuteness that makes you want to show them when ordering at a beauty salon. In the lesson, I use an entire chapter and practice lots of hair arrangements such as shortcuts, bobs, curly hair, and ponytails.
A thorough lecture was also given on how to layer layers and how to color, which are necessary to create a fluffy atmosphere rather than a solid coating. The key to improvement is to imitate a lot while looking at the capture screen and let it soak into your body.
Learn how to draw with the skeleton and balance in mind
In this class, the lessons progress in the order of face → hairstyle → bust up → full body, so the number of things you can do gradually increases. The croquis and poses you'll learn in Chapter 4 are based on the figure of a woman who has many opportunities to draw.
It carefully explains everything from the tips of the fingers to the feet, such as the skeleton, fins, and curves unique to a woman's body. Also, the poses are recorded both standing and sitting.
Combine it with how to draw clothes you'll learn in Chapter 5 and try drawing in various poses like a dress-up doll!

[Creator Interview]
Q. What kind of activities do teachers usually do? Please introduce yourself briefly!
I originally drew pencil and ballpoint pen drawings as a hobby. Around the fall of 2020, I bought an iPad because I thought it would be fun if I could work with pictures, so I resumed posting on Instagram.
Currently, my work focuses on providing illustrations to web media.
Q. Please tell us about your experience and achievements so far! Please tell me about exhibitions, awards, etc.
After graduating from a graphic design vocational school, I worked as a magazine designer and apparel salesperson, and now I work as an illustrator while working as an office worker.
At first, I applied to a crowdsourcing site and gradually increased my achievements, and now I am in charge of working with companies by receiving conversations via SNS.
Q. How did your teacher get into digital illustration?
I have been fond of drawing illustrations of people since childhood, and when I was a student, I drew comics, drew realistic caricatures, etc., and also posted magazines. I decided to buy an iPad when I was conscious of work.
Q. Why did you offer online classes with CLASS101?
When I posted my work on Instagram, I began to get comments from people who like illustrations and people who refer to how to draw. I originally drew illustrations as a hobby, but if they were for someone without realizing it, I wouldn't be so happy, so I decided to start a class.
