Creator Interviews

Q. What kind of activities do teachers usually do? Please introduce yourself briefly!

While working as an in-house designer, I also work as a freelance illustrator. It expresses a wide range of cute expressions, from illustrations to designs. I am also in charge of illustrations for MVs, illustrations, etc. Various original works are shown at solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, and events such as Comitia. I am also in charge of a wide range of designs, from the web to paper ones.

Q. Please tell us about your experience and achievements so far! Please tell me about exhibitions, awards, etc.

Illustrations were published in a publication magazine called Small S, and since then they received awards in magazines such as Quarterly S, etc., and have been active in earnest. They hold solo exhibitions and participate in events. Published in ILLUSTRATION 2022.

Q. How did your teacher get into illustration?

I've loved drawing since I was little, and I've always dreamed of drawing illustrations, designing, etc.

Q. Why did you offer online classes with CLASS101?

I wanted all kinds of people to feel even a little bit of fun drawing. Also, I think it would be great if the ingenuity to actually develop it into goods etc. was conveyed.

Q. What points did you put the most effort into when planning the class? Who would you recommend this class to?

I thought about the structure so that I could understand the way of thinking to express my own cuteness and the knowledge to realize it. I also incorporated the basics of design into the course so that it can be developed into actual goods rather than drawing and finishing. It's not a difficult theory, but I want to devise a way to expand the range of expression by adding basic knowledge. I would recommend it to people who want to express a worldview that includes not only human illustrations but also backgrounds.

Q. What kind of experience do you want the students to have through this class?

I want people to know that I usually create a worldview while thinking about this kind of thing, and I want them to experience the fact that it's okay to draw without thinking too hard. Also, ideas to spread it (expansion to SNS and business cards) are also planned in the course, so I would like you to try various developments.

Q. Please give a message to the students!

By devising the basics of composition and colors, I think you can feel that putting together a screen is surprisingly not difficult! Let's have fun trying out how to create a worldview!
