In this class, unlike other classes, the main method is to set a “target” result called “product photography” and approach it accordingly. I'll tell you everything from the preparation process required to take a photo of a shopping mall product to the candidate selection process after taking the photo.

Since this is a photography course “for shopping malls,” I'll start by taking a picture of the subject product on a plain background!

When I heard opinions while preparing for the class, there were not a few people who said, “Not only are shopping mall owners, but also people who don't really know where to access smartphone photos themselves.”

There are many paid and free classes and many books for smartphone photography. That's why I felt like I really learned “how to take good pictures” in books and lectures... When I take a picture, I think there are not a few people who are worried about “that rice with that herb” again.

Photo with a white background (also known as “nuki photo”)

If you sell products on the internet, you must have a photo with a white background.

Above all, photos with the background removed are highly used when creating images for product detail pages, but in order to remove the background easily and cleanly, it is more useful to take a picture with a white background.

In particular, in overseas markets, there is a rule that product photos must only be uploaded with a white background.

Therefore, if you want to sell products on the Internet, it is often very useful to use a photo with a white background.

A background photo with the color that best represents the product

You'll learn how to take background photos with colors that express the product well.

The product shown in this photo is a chewable vitamin C supplement. So I used the lemon yellow and orange background plates, which are commonly thought of when it comes to vitamin C.

In order to emphasize the richness of the content, the “pouring out” angle is used to create the contents, and the opening of the bottle is aligned with the vertex of the yellow side to harmonize with the pouring out content.

In the case of products containing plant-based ingredients, a photograph taken with the raw plant in the background can show the ingredients of the product more effectively. Especially when it comes to cosmetics, it is highly versatile.

Among my classmates, they said, “Huh? You might say, “My products are not in the cosmetics or health food category.” However, it is possible to create a healthier atmosphere just by combining the green plants with the product.

Even post-processing work for a better production

Even if you work hard on shooting, it's hard to get the perfect work right away.

You can improve the degree of perfection through post-processing work that processes the desired image.
