Why drawing your figure is difficult

I learned human anatomy to draw a natural human body
A crooked, broken, and awkward human body
Let me tell you why.

The human body is a complex three-dimensional body made up of many muscles and bones. In order to better understand the human body and handle it freely, we learn and apply human anatomy.

While studying human anatomy, many people focus on simply memorizing the names of bones and muscles and drawing shapes. However, memorizing human anatomy information on a flat surface can make drawing a human body rather awkward.

Our human body is made up of many bones and muscles, but what we see is a three-dimensional shape covered with skin and fat. If too many muscles and bones are indiscriminately described and become awkward, or if muscles and bones are depicted that do not fit the anatomical three-dimensional shape and structure, the human body may look broken or curved and become awkward.

Natural and easy, three-dimensional drawing

In order to draw complex human bodies more naturally and easily, we will apply human anatomy information to three-dimensional shapes to understand them. You will be able to efficiently handle human body drawings through the application of human anatomy information to shapes, and draw using the surface of a three-dimensional figure according to changes in contrast and angle.

It is not immediately possible to understand and draw the human body in three dimensions. The paper, canvas, screen, etc. you draw on are flat surfaces. Since we can't directly handle the three-dimensional object itself, we need to understand how the three-dimensional object looks to our eyes and draw using that principle. This is like an optical illusion; a three-dimensional figure is in space, and when a three-dimensional figure expands, it can become a space.

Draw the human body more deeply and more efficiently

The human body is a complex three-dimensional form created by intricately intertwining three-dimensional bones, muscles, and fats. In order to draw these shapes naturally, it is necessary to understand them in three dimensions in order to draw them.

It is difficult for humans to understand three-dimensional shapes and structures in three-dimensional coordinates. That's why they use shapes as if they were dealing with a block of clay or a toy block.

A three-dimensional object is something that exists in space
The paper, canvas, and screen on which we draw a picture of the human body is a flat surface.

You cannot directly deal with three dimensions and space, and you must draw using optical illusions to indirectly look like three dimensions and space.

It is also difficult to understand the complex three-dimensional shape and structure of the human body, We must draw using the optical illusions and distortions we see and feel. This is why it is difficult to freely draw the human body in three dimensions.

If you first understand the optical illusions and distortions we see and learn how to handle three-dimensional shapes using perspective and perspective, you can develop a three-dimensional sense and become proficient in understanding and drawing in three dimensions. In this class, we first prepared to learn how to draw a three-dimensional drawing by drawing a face in three dimensions.

I'm Hulum, the creator

Hallo I'm a freelance artist and lecturer who will teach you how to draw a human body.

I fell in love with human body drawing and started painting. I have been working on comics and illustrations that draw a lot of people, and my research focuses on understanding and creating a deep understanding of the human body.

The most enjoyable way I've been drawing a human body is when I use human body data to understand the human body and create my own body drawing using those principles. I wanted to share the fun of drawing a human body with others, and I wanted to plan the class in the hope that it would be helpful.

Step by step human body drawing for all

In order to draw a three-dimensional human body Space, perspective, perspective, anatomical shape of the human body, three-dimensional shape, human body proportions, etc. There are so many things that need to be done at once, so it's a difficult method even for those who have drawn to some extent.

Therefore, I thought that if I were to deal with only one class, many students would give up halfway. As a solution to this, we decided to divide the important elements and basic elements required for three-dimensional human body drawing step by step.

1 ️ First classIn,

I learned how to handle flat shapes and proportions, and learned the basic proportions of the human body and important muscle and skeletal patterns through that method.

2 ️Second classIn this class,

I learned how to handle space and three-dimensional shapes, and learned how to draw a three-dimensional face through that method, and I was able to train.

And the third class, which will be produced next, will cover full-scale three-dimensional human anatomy.

This is how the second class is going on.

First, learn about perspective and distortion seen and felt through the human eye How to handle space and three-dimensional objects more easily through something called a “grid”I'm going to learn.

Next, you'll learn the three-dimensional shapes and structures of the head, eyes, nose, and mouth, and learn how to express and combine them using three-dimensional shapes.

Once everything is ready, you can learn how to look at faces, such as hairstyles and ears, and master three-dimensional drawing techniques by expressing faces from various angles. We will proceed so that the three-dimensional effect can be enhanced.

Advantages of classes

  • You can learn the essential basics of perspective, perspective, and grid usage more easily.
  • You can understand the shape and structure of the head and face of the human body and draw from various angles.
  • You can use it to create your own character.

For your next level of painting,

This class [Beginner class] It's. For those who are new to painting, it may seem a bit difficult.

Three-dimensional shapes can be seen as a set of floor plans, and many lines and proportions must be finely adjusted using a grid. For those who are not yet familiar with drawing a floor plan, drawing lines, or adjusting proportions, I recommend that you take the first class of Hulum first.

The core of my class is not memorizing methods and sequences
It's sensualization through understanding and mastery.

For beginners, the only thing we are dealing with in this class is drawing faces, but by drawing various characters and angles, looking at human body materials such as photographs, etc., and making repeated observations in the same way I'll show you how much sensualization can be achieved.

In the “Full Body Anatomy Course”, which will be produced in the next class, the facial drawing methods learned in this class will be used in more diverse and countless ways. Therefore, if you have achieved sufficient sensibility in this class, you will not be able to perform a full-scale three-dimensional human anatomy in the third class.

Look forward to Hulum's second class, which will add a sense of dimension to your paintings.

Hello, I'm Hulum, a freelance writer and lecturer.

I have various practical experience and many years of human body drawing, and now I am focusing on educational content and lessons.

My curriculum is painting Something that allows anyone who is not an innate talent to develop their senses through study and training so that they can observe, conceive, and express themselves on their own I'm doing it in the direction.

My class at Class 101 is also being planned in line with that direction.

  • First classIn, you can draw characters using lines and floor plans, and train them to see and handle proportions and shapes.
  • Second classIn this class, you can develop a three-dimensional sense by drawing a character's face using three-dimensional shapes in a three-dimensional space by adding space and perspective to the basic skills learned in the first class.
  • The last third classIn, we try to understand and express the detailed anatomical forms of the human body using a developed sense of three-dimensionality.

The anatomical information on the human body is so numerous and complex that it is almost impossible to memorize it. However, it is possible to understand using the method of understanding and expressing senses and forms, and if you understand, you can express the human body with your own feelings and thoughts.

This can also be a way to observe data in more depth, and it is also very helpful to express core information about the human body in a cartoonish manner through many weakening in a way that does not miss the core information of the human body. I hope that through my classes, anyone can easily understand the human body and enjoy various human body drawings by adding their own personality.
