What makes this class special
A class that will serve as a guide for directing webtoons
When educating aspiring webtoon writers or students in webtoon-related departments, I often feel that I don't deserve a textbook that explains in detail the directing required for initial entry. The webtoon storyline is “How to draw?” Previously, “How do you arrange and properly adjust it according to the story?” is even more important. Through grammatical interpretations of directing and various analyses and examples based on the style of each genre, we gave lectures so that students could easily understand and apply them.

I'm the author of Webtoon Directing Techniques and the writer of Shokuban.
The creation of manga and webtoons is like air to me. I've loved drawing manga since I was a kid, and although I majored in computer science, I wanted to draw manga, so after I was in my 30s, I went back to graduate school majoring in manga and animation to change my life with manga. However, since most graduate school classes are for research purposes, I had to self-study the story and drawing by myself.
While attending an IT company, I only went home on weekends a week, and spent the rest of the day practicing storytelling and drawing at night after I finished working at the company. After practicing without a deadline, I found myself drawing only the same characters, and since I received requests for webtoons and began delivery, I began creating various stories to keep my promises with customers, and developed pictures that fit the story. The most frustrating thing about making webtoons at this time was that I felt that there was no guide to webtoons, and I looked for bookstores that I could refer to, but even then, most of them were manga related bookstores, so I was only partially helped. As a result of this production, I was able to create about 2,000 new short webtoons, and after about 2 years I tried the webtoon platform for serialization.
It wasn't easy to change my job and get a new job, but I only had the word challenge, and I made my debut as a webtoon writer after starting five serials on the webtoon platform.
I serialized 5 episodes on the webtoon platform at the same time. Three were just a story and storyline, and the other two were even drawn, but the fun was only for a while, and since it was something I had to finish working for the company, I finally got away from my initial intention of serializing for more than 6 months and finished all of them in 3 months.
When I first serialized my work on a webtoon platform, I felt painstakingly that creating a proper work was never an easy task. After realizing these problems, I formed a studio team to serialize on the portal webtoon platform.
Based on storytelling, which can be seen as the first step in directing webtoons, we have organized a class for aspiring artists who find it difficult in the early stages of creating works, and for artists who are new to creating webtoon works, and we will conduct the class with a collaborative research attitude.
