Musicals, comprehensive stage arts that add vitality to life. A genre that is special to someone, and unfamiliar to others. The “Comprehensive Art on Stage” musical is a very attractive performance content that makes you want to know more when you know it. So in this class, I'm going to teach you a very easy approach to watching musicals in a more fun and in-depth way. You'll also learn about the process of leaving personal impressions in a variety of ways.

3 reasons why this class is special

❶ KEY POINTS for effective musical listening!

We have prepared elements that are key points for effective musical listening. I'll teach you little by little so that you can slowly but clearly get to know the musical.

We'll start by introducing and understanding the meaning of musicals and performance terms that might be helpful to know first. In particular, when it comes to terms, you often hear in theaters, but if you have ever had trouble understanding the meaning clearly, take this opportunity to check them out. You'll be able to understand the content in a deeper way.

❷ Musical storytelling through masterpieces

Next, we will have a musical storytelling time by selecting representative works from creative musicals and licensed musicals. Musical storytelling is the process of selecting and explaining major musical works. You will be able to draw out a deeper appreciation based on the comparison between content not covered in the column or content recreated with the original work or OSMU (One Source Multi Use). There's no reason to necessarily watch the original, but it can be an opportunity for me to better understand the musical I've watched based on a comparative analysis between the contents.

❸ Adding depth to my appreciation

Writing and speaking that you will remember for a long time

Wouldn't it be more memorable if I could remember these works for a longer time and keep them my own? I'll also talk about how to keep a record, which is a surefire way to remember moments. Taking advantage of my long and diverse experiences, I have prepared to leave what I have appreciated in two ways: words and writing. I hope one day I can share stories about my favorite works to my heart's content in your space! Reading will be the foundation for both of these activities.

Maybe some of the lessons feel like taking a speech class. What is clear is that it can also help you strengthen your speaking and writing skills in your daily life.

May musicals help you in your daily life

I really want musicals to be a part of your everyday life. I don't just look for an event on a special day, but I hope it will be a small comfort for a tiring day or a present of the day for me. Just like they did to me. I hope this class will serve as a small opportunity for you to love musicals even more.

From a favorite hobby to a job

Hello, I'm Choi Yoon-young, a performance columnist.

Performances have always been a force that makes everyday life happy. Among them, the musical was even more special. When you sit at the venue and listen to the tuning sounds coming from the orchestra pit while waiting for the start, the excitement that can only be felt then is beyond words. Of course, the same goes for the daunting feeling of going out to watch a performance.

I am currently contributing a regular musical column to the Pharmaceutical Industry Newspaper, a leading specialty magazine in the health and pharmaceutical industry, and the Today Newspaper, an excellent comprehensive daily newspaper on the Internet. Also, I'm in charge of interviews and press call articles.

There are times when I write columns or give lectures that have been requested from outside, and I also go on stage as a host of cultural and artistic performances to perform concerts or talk about works.
