Shin Hye-rim, a researcher who fell in love with alcohol
I used to be a life science researcher.
While working as a researcher, I fell in love with “alcohol,” so I quit my stable job and started studying alcohol. Furthermore, I started a small business in a related field. At first, I fell in love with cocktails that “mix various drinks and alcohol to create a variety of flavors.” After that, I liked showing my taste to many people, so I also operated a cocktail catering and cocktail shop.
It's said that the end of tuning is genuine, right? I became interested in a variety of alcoholic beverages, including whiskey, wine, and spirits. Currently, I am giving lectures on the humanities of chauteer, cocktails, whiskey, and spirits based on relevant knowledge.
Interviews
Q. I'm curious about what led the creator to create the class.
As I made cocktails and researched, I naturally fell in love with the appeal of whiskey. However, the more I got to know about whiskey, the more difficult it was. There were many unfamiliar terms, and everything was difficult, such as how to drink whiskey with a strong alcohol content, how to express the taste after tasting, and why it has various aromas.
So I started studying randomly, and I also tried to drink a lot. I would have been able to fall in love with the charm of whiskey a little faster if someone on the sidelines would have guided me a little better, but I was very disappointed.
I decided to create a class to gather the things I was struggling with and to help people who started whiskey like me at the time.
Q. Lastly, what would you like to say to my classmates
This class is for those who want to learn about whiskey but don't know where and how to enjoy it. I hope it will be an easy and fun introduction to whiskey.
