About the class

Eye-catching video aesthetics, the basics of motion graphics

Motion graphics are effectively used to capture the viewer's attention and convey purpose by maximizing visual enjoyment within a short period of time.

It consists of things you must know, so it will be a useful class for those taking their first steps in motion graphics.

I'm a broadcast designer with over 10 years of experience, working mainly on broadcast titles, logo design, broadcast CG, etc., and I also run a business. I'll help you create the basics of design from the concept of motion graphics through lessons.

Three reasons why this class is special

❶ The practitioner's work process

A practical curriculum that has been transferred as is

Are you curious about the workflow of a motion graphic artist? The class captured the entire process from conception to the creation of the finished work, such as how to create assets and bring them to the timeline, and how to express movement. The curriculum is designed in a practical way so that practitioners can get a peek right next to the actual work process.

❷ Design stories conceived and created by practitioners

There are many people who think that the “design area” of motion graphics is the most difficult. I usually think that people with talent and sense of design are good at it. That's true to some extent, but I think it's possible to follow the field of talent with enough effort. This class contains not only heavy theory, but also stories about designs thought and compiled by individual practitioners. Let's talk about design in a simple way so you don't have to think too hard about it!

❸ A variety of example configurations tailored to the student's level

In this class, we have prepared a wide variety of examples so that students can practice the examples according to their own level. Try the practice over and over again through the example files attached to the lesson notes! At some point, all of the example skills in the class will take shape.

Kim Sojang

Hello, I'm Kim So-jang!

I majored in film at university, worked in the film directing department after graduation, then switched to broadcasting, and was in charge of CG/graphics in the broadcast general editing office since 2007. I had to find everything myself in the harsh environment of an outsourced general editing office, and now I've been running a private business related to broadcast design for 5 years.

Sometimes we feel limited by being a non-professional, but we all know that in the end, only experience and effort produce results. Motion graphics, like everything else, must elicit “empathy from others,” so I hope this class will be a small stepping stone in a variety of experiences.
