About the class

If you were to draw a picture with thread, what would it feel like?

Do you usually enjoy drawing, and do you also like making things meek, shaky, and meek? Weaving is an activity that can satisfy these two types of fun. The fabric created by drawing the shape I wanted to draw with threads of my favorite color is a special work that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Q. Who would you recommend this class to?

A: First of all, I recommend it to those who like interior accessories made of fabric. You can make cozy and feel-good accessories even if you only make simple basic weaves with your favorite color combinations. I also recommend it to those who like to draw. It's also really fun to use the techniques I learned after taking this class to express my own paintings as tapestries. I also recommend it to those who usually like manual work such as knitting. It looks similar using the same material called thread, but there's a new fun unique to weaving.

Also, since you will use the fine muscles of your hands a lot and work while touching soft threads, it will be a great hobby for those who need peace of mind. I also really recommend Taigyo.

Q. What was the opportunity for the artist to start the class?

A: I learned tapestry weaving when I was majoring in college, and I was really fascinated by being able to create detailed pictorial expressions using the simple technique of weaving threads horizontally and vertically. Later, after a few years of normal work life, there was a time when I quit and took a break, but I inadvertently bought small weaving rolls and threads in terms of materials and tried weaving again after following my memories. After a long time, it was so much fun and comforting to work while touching the thread. Little by little, I reworked, and began a small one-day class.

Q. What is unique about the artist class?

A: A: The content didn't just end with the work I created during the course, but I organized the content in the hope that you would continue to enjoy it as a hobby. Most of the techniques you learn in class can be applied in a variety of styles. The end of the class will be another beginning, and I hope you can freely create weaving works with your own sensibility and design.

Q. Please say a word to the artist's students!

A: If the work you make in class is a little lumpy, don't blame yourself for not being good enough, or give up!

Even in an imperfect shape, you can feel the unique feel of hand weaving, and each one is a precious and beautiful piece. I hope that during the time you spend weaving, you can get away from the worries and stress of everyday life and fully enjoy your work while healing.
