About the class

SNS, Internet, alcohol, food, drugs - what is your addiction?

The current era of “faster” and “easier” encourages us to become addicted.

To quickly and easily avoid current worries, conflicts, and uncomfortable feelings, we often rely on actions or materials. Addiction that begins this way takes away our time and energy, and eventually takes away control of our lives.

People don't easily recognize what they are addicted to.

In addition to addictive drugs that are taboo in society, they are swayed by numerous addictions such as smartphones, social media, shopping, and pornography, but they don't easily admit that “this is just a habit.”

The moment you recognize your addiction and distance yourself, freedom finally comes to your life.

We have prepared an “Addictionology for All (Addictionology)” class in the hope that you will live the life you want. In an age full of temptations of addiction, if you properly understand addiction, you can set your own principles and move forward.

❷ In an “Addictive World”

Find your own firm principles

If you're not satisfied with your life right now, it's time to look back to see if you're unknowingly addicted to something. If I accurately recognize my addiction, I can judge right and wrong and find my own firm principles in a flooded era.

I'm a psychiatrist majoring in addiction psychiatry and meeting addiction patients in wards and outpatient clinics. We are communicating with the field by giving many lectures to addicts and experts who help addicts. Based on this experience, I created a journal to help with recovery (84-day recovery trip journal, 2020, Hana Medical History), and recently published a book to help professionals.

Q. What led you to create the class?

Addiction changes life priorities and eventually takes away control of life. It even takes lives. However, many people go to the doctor's office only after their addiction has progressed quite a bit. “If I could learn, think, and talk about addiction in advance, wouldn't there be a chance to make a difference?” I decided to create a class out of regret and thirst.

Q. What would you like to say to my classmates

Modern society, which regards solving anything more easily and faster as a virtue, encourages addiction. This is because addiction makes our worries, conflicts, and uncomfortable feelings disappear quickly. However, this definitely comes at a cost. There is a saying in the Art of Soldiers: “the best friend, the friend, the one who knows the best, the enemy, the enemy is immortal.” I will tell you the benefits and benefits of addiction, knowledge about the power and subtlety of addiction, and techniques to deal with it.
