Seongwon Son, CEO of SONPT
I'm Seong-won Son, the current CEO of Yeoksam Son Personal Training with over 20 years of athletic experience and 13 years of personal training experience.
History
I had a rupture of the posterior cruciate ligament in my left knee due to a traffic accident, and a rupture of the right ankle ligament due to an injury during exercise. As a result, I had a disadvantage in lower body exercises compared to others, and in order to get better at squats, I went to many experts, took direct lessons, and worked hard to combine theory and practical skills, making my current full squat possible. I prepared a squat class using my own experience.

Interviews
Q. The happiness I feel while living as a trainer
I feel the greatest happiness when I see members who say that their lives have changed through exercise. Also, I feel happy to see the members who trust and follow me increase their exercise performance and change their bodies.
Q. What is Son Seong-won's workout routine?
I do back & squat exercises on Monday, chest & shoulders on Tuesday, lower body focus on Wednesday, back & arms on Thursday, and chest & shoulder exercises on Friday.
Q. What efforts are being made to maintain health?
I've been doing private exercise for 2 hours a day for close to 20 years. I don't drink or smoke, and I work 24 hours a day on weekdays according to a fixed schedule. As a dietary habit, eat 320 grams of rice and 190 grams of fish three times a day at 9:10 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 6:50 p.m.
As a trainer, I value leading by example, so I don't teach members things I haven't done. We are always taking the lead in providing proper guidance to members about exercise, diet, and regular lifestyle.
Q. Lastly, what would you like to say to my classmates
You can't change your body by thinking. Don't try to be perfect, even 10 or 20 minutes a day is fine, so act right now rather than think and make a perfect plan. A perfect plan is rather burdensome and makes implementation difficult. I want you to start with small actions that you can keep and that you can implement now.
Don't forget,
It's not a perfect plan or program; just one action changes my body.
What changes who I am tomorrow is who I am today.
