It has another name as “UK without a passport,” and it also offers English conversation and cross-cultural experience classes as an English training facility.

In this day and age, it's not easy to travel or attend lessons.
When I thought about what we could do at British Hills, I decided to make the concept of our facility “providing a place where you can have the same experience as overseas while staying in Japan” to “providing a place where you can learn about English culture while staying at home.”
I hope you can enjoy an elegant and enjoyable tea time by making scones using authentic recipes and brewing black tea.
Authentic scone and tea blending
The recipes introduced in the lessons were supervised by the hugely popular tea room “Ascot” in the facility. Our top staff will introduce in English how to brew authentic scones and black tea that are moist and tasty.
The point is that even beginners can enjoy learning in earnest.
There are plenty of recipes introduced in the lesson, such as traditional English scones, jam toppings, rich clotted cream, etc.
Also, you can learn not only scone recipes, but also a wide range of black tea knowledge. You will learn the basics of tea leaves, how to pair black tea with meals, and tea blending.
It's not just about cooking, eating, and learning about history! You can also study English!

Q. Why did you offer online classes with CLASS101?
A. In this day and age when it's not easy to travel or attend lessons, when thinking about what British Hills can do, let's make the concept of our facility “providing a place where you can have the same experience as overseas while staying in Japan” to “provide a place where you can learn about English culture while staying at home”! I thought.
Q. What points did you put the most effort into when planning the class?
A. Normally, foreign teachers who teach lessons play the leading role, but this time, I asked actually amazing Japanese professionals in each department to supervise, such as scone recipes and tea parts, etc., and I made it a point anyway that even beginners can enjoy learning “in earnest.”
Q. What kind of experience do you want the students to experience through this class?
A. Studying English feels like a high hurdle for first-time users or those who have a blank space. However, in this class, you can enjoy touching things such as how to make delicious scones and black tea not only in English but also through the culture that is now familiar to you. I want you to have an experience where you can easily accept and learn English as a “means” rather than a “purpose.”

A. I like scones, I like black tea, I like England, I want to be able to speak English, I want to have a new hobby... I packed a lot of essences so that many people can enjoy it for various purposes. Let's enjoy a cup of black tea and scones together that will enrich the lives of all the students in the future!
