I'm Portrait Artist, Hyunpeach_!

Hello:) I'm your instructor Hyunpeach_ and I specialize in drawing portraits.

With an iPad, you can draw portraits that are even neater and more vibrant than hand-drawn paintings.

During my college years, I had moments where I doubted myself as an artist. At that time, I was volunteering at a nursing home, and once I happened to draw portraits of the elderly. After they passed away, their family thanked me for drawing them. That single act of gratitude got me thinking about how much my drawing can mean to someone, even though it's a simple work.

Draw Whenever, Wherever You Like on iPad.

I've been practicing art since I was a kid. I have tried practically every material such as colored pencils, oil paint, watercolors, pencil, or acrylic paint. Then I figured I wouldn't need all those materials if I had an iPad. So I bought one right away and jumped into iPad drawing.

iPad allows you to adjust the opacity, color tone, and shape as you like. As I got used to the features, I was able to make the most out of the features of iPad, and I fell in love with the unique charms of iPad!

Being able to adjust the colors and the shapes without going through hundreds of tools is the greatest advantage of iPad drawing! I'll help you make the most use of it when working on iPad.

Drawing Portraits Won't be Difficult Anymore.

For those who are new to iPad portrait drawing, I'll start with sketching, the most basic foundation of drawing.

I'll show you how to draw facial features and how to express the change of looks depending on the angle. Also, using proper lines for each step of the sketch will make expression much easier. I'll tell you step-by-step how to adjust pen pressure which makes it possible to draw lines effectively when sketching.

Get Familiar with Brushes and Colors to Show Smooth Tone of Colors!

Learn how to choose a color and adjust pen pressure so that you can keep colors from getting muddy.

I have tips for this that I learned through trial and error. I'll share what colors to avoid and what you need be aware of when adjusting brush pressure so that you won't go through trial and error like me!

In portraits, eyes, nose, and mouth are most likely to draw attention. So I'll let you know which brush to choose to draw facial features realistically.

Let's draw charming characters together.

When I draw people, I think the most important part is the eyes. The eyes are windows to the heart. Depending on how the eyes are expressed, it can show how the character feels, and the mood they create. Eyes determine the quality of the drawing. Drawing eyes is the key to drawing attractive faces. I'll teach you in more detail and easily.

Keep Applying the Skill to Internalize it

I can only teach you how to draw. It is YOU who practice and apply. Throughout this class, I'll teach you everything from understanding the shapes and proportions of the characters to using lines and faces to express the three-dimensional effect of the skin, and how to naturally color the characters using whatever colors you like.

Follow along by practicing with your hand and sharing your drawing step-by-step!

It's not that difficult if we do it together, so let's start together. I'll focus on teaching you how to draw characters that look real and beautiful.

At first, I struggled too because I couldn't understand the layers or types of brushes. Plus, it felt so weird and different from hand drawing. As a person who has gone through the trouble before you, I will explain in every chapter the points you need to be careful to not get lost. Beginners and intermediates, everyone is welcome to draw together!

Through this course, you'll be able to experience the joy of drawing and giving portraits of your beloved friends, family, or celebrities.
