Portrait with background

Let's express a finished work through simple background effects.

Hello! This is Park Ji-go.

I run an offline studio and draw portraits with a variety of materials. Among them, many people particularly liked my watercolor work, so I opened an online class like this.

I think my main question is “how to express the clear feeling unique to watercolor.” I've also been thinking about that expression for a very long time. I was under a lot of stress until I got the resolution I wanted.

After so many years of adding and subtracting, and practicing, I came up with a way to create a clear watercolor painting of characters with a clean sensibility. And to all of you, through this class My own expressive know-how that is clear and has a sense of depthI would like to let you know in detail.

Say goodbye to mistakes with just one touch,

Don't worry about getting the paper wet!

This class is not for drawing directly on paper, but on an iPad ProcreateThis is a class where you can learn pictures that look just like actual watercolors with an app called! If you know a few rules for digital work, you can draw impressive portraits without special hand skills such as manual work. You don't have to worry about the paper crying even after a few coats of color.

Especially when I make a mistake, it's very convenient to correct or modify, so I can draw a picture Those who have drawn for the first time or who have felt that they have no qualificationsThey will also be able to follow you enough. If you've been hesitating for fear of failure, or if you've ever been frustrated by small mistakes that occur in the process of drawing, try taking that burden off with digital drawing.

How to use Park Ji-go's 'Paper Canvas & Watercolor Brushes'

Everyone loves the clear, transparent appeal of watercolor:) I bought a brush kit that feels the same as watercolor by chance while working on an iPad, and I've been using it very conveniently and usefully until now.

The watercolor brush kit I'm using includes 6 types of watercolor effect brushes and a paper-textured canvas. A brush that can express various techniques without the need to adjust the water, and a canvas that will express the realistic texture of paperWith, even if you drew it on an iPad, you can complete it just as if you had drawn it on paper.

In this class, the class will be conducted using the brush kit I purchased for a fee like this. Follow me Those who made a purchase but found it difficult because they didn't know how to use itI'll show you how to do that step by step!

Do I have to buy a brush kit?

We recommend purchasing a brush kit for a smooth course, but since classes are basically based on a description of portraits, you don't have to buy a paid brush to take the course.

I'll also show you how to create a similar effect using the Procreate basic brush without buying one, and how to set the paper texture.

10 years of know-how in one point!

It's going to be a basic class you won't get tired of.

I've been drawing portraits for years, and I've observed and studied them hundreds of times to make them look similar. As a result, I came up with my own way to compose characters. All human faces have different characteristics, but Faces have unique rulesI have one. If you understand the basic rules unique to the face, identify the points of each character in it, and change the position and shape of the eyes, nose, and mouth little by little, you can express similar characters without difficulty. Packed with know-how from the 10th year The secret to identifying a character's points and drawing a compositionI'll tell you all about it!

Be sensible from sketching

There are few sketches left in watercolor work, but sketches are still very important. Sketching is the step of drawing up a plan for how I will lead to completion. It's not excessive, but it's a sketch that contains all the directions I'm going to draw. It's also the most important part of portraiture. It would be a wonderful work just by sketching it.

If it's too difficult, you can draw along

I want to draw something similar, but it's hard to know where and how to start, and there are many cases where drawing is awkward and I don't make any further progress. For many people, the most difficult part of portraiture is the sketching stage, which is the first step.

Therefore, tracing is actually a commonly used method, and digital painting can use this tracing technique very easily. But it's not just about drawing along random lines, Drawing only the parts necessary for the sketch by adjusting the strength and strength of the lineThis is more important than anything else. In this class, we'll cover those points in detail!

I fill the “mood” with color

Of all the words I hear a lot, my favorite word Unique clear and warm colorsI mean, this is good. In the past, I used to use a lot of my favorite colors without any plans, and the finished picture was somewhat spotty, and it was hard to find the color I had used before every time. No matter how good I was at sketching and coloring, I wasn't satisfied with my painting.

So I decided to create a color palette by selecting the colors I like, and the ones that match each other. If you have a color palette, you can maintain a constant tone of the works you create. The constant tone of the work also means that even if the color changes, the atmosphere of the work continues. To all of you I'll show you how to create a color palette full of your own color, and I'll also share my own palette.

Feel free to apply it too! Be confident!

I was usually hesitant because I could copy the original work by using a program to use together Drastic brush touches or color changesYou can try it. Also, instead of just thinking in your head about what color will go with the decoration or background, you can just find the right color by looking directly at it with your own eyes, so you can just find the right color for the work. A richer experienceIt also helps to build up. I'll help you create a variety of works with more confidence!

I'll leave a picture of that moment with an important person

The beginning is probably a difficult part for everyone. I've never learned to draw, can I really do it? I think you might be worried. But I also started without learning anything in particular. I just drew my favorite celebrity, and I fixed it again and again until it looked like the one I wanted to draw. I don't know how much fun it was to observe the object, modify it, and become so similar.

The story I hear a lot during art classes is “I want to draw someone, or I want to draw something well and give it as a gift.” Put down the burden a little bit and carefully capture the face of your loved one in the picture. I hope you enjoy drawing the faces I wanted to draw and remember.
