Eun Ning, an embroiderer, is inspired by small things around her, such as wild flowers on the roadside and the face of a shy child. Rather than hard machine embroidery, I usually do hand embroidery that takes a long time but has a warm feeling.
When I let go of my sweat one by one, the useless thoughts in my head are all over the place. I think the appeal of French embroidery is that you can relax and enjoy while focusing on manual work.
Recommended Class Eligibility
- Men and women of all ages who like to make things with their own hands
- Those who wanted to learn French embroidery but couldn't find a workshop on their own
- Those who want to embroider with warmth in the room
- Those who want to give a thoughtful embroidered gift with their own touch
- Those who are self-taught in French embroidery but have run into limitations
Estimated class time
Each stitch technique takes around 3 minutes. It takes around 3 hours to make your own embroidery props based on the stitches you've learned. (I will make a total of 3 props!)
We will provide you with a course ticket period so that you can take enough time to follow along.
The time required may vary depending on the individual and the speed of progress.
What do you learn?
Introduction to the basics of French embroidery
For those who are new to French embroidery, we will first learn basic embroidery materials and tools, basic lines and cotton fill stitches.
An essential stitch that is essential for flower embroidery
Here are some French embroidery stitching techniques necessary for rich flowers such as roses, petals, and leaves. You can learn step by step from the basics.
Make your own embroidery props
I will engrave my own embroidery on mirrors, fabric frames, and pouches based on what I learned in class. When it comes to embroidering on your own, the beginning is easy, but finishing is the trickiest part. I'll show you in detail how to complete a semi-finished product!
