The World of Woolfelting
Hello, I'm Shin Hehe, a creator who woolfelts with a warm sensibility.
“Felting” is a technique of applying heat or pressure to wool to complete a fabric. Felting can be broadly divided into wet felting and needle felting. You probably know a lot about needle felting, which is mostly done with needles. In fact, the wet (wet) felting method using water has also been used for a long time.
Needle felting involves piercing wool with a prickly needle to entangle fiber tissue together, and wet felting (water felting) is a strange and attractive technique for changing physical properties from wool to fabric using hot water and pressure. If needle felting is suitable for small and delicate work, water felting is a technique that allows for larger and more practical works.
I first encountered the technique of wetfelting (water felting) while majoring in textile crafts. Add care to simple tools to create your own fabricI felt a great appeal from that point of view. I don't think the appeal of water felting is popular yet, so I wanted to enjoy water felting with a lot of people, so I decided to prepare a class.
From the beginning to application of wool felting to the use of needle techniques
In this class, I will highlight the warm sensibility of water felting Completed 6 worksI'll try it. In addition to flat felt, I will also be making three-dimensional works such as mini vases and pouches. The wool material's unique natural and warm feel makes it perfect for any space.
Learn the basic techniques and application techniques of water felting, and how to complete them by adding needle techniques I'll let you know that after completing the class, you'll be able to easily create your own work in the form you want:)
The basic method of water felting is simple, but it is not easy to finish the felt tissue firmly and beautifully. From the process of preparing wool and firm felting- The know-how you need every step of the wayI'll tell you about it carefully.
So, how are we going to complete the work?
I understand wool and felting.
First, I will understand the nature of wool and the process of becoming a fabric, and then complete the work using flat felt.
- mini square tray : I got to know water felting by making a mini tray that is easy to use. Learn the materials required for water felting, how to handle wool, and basic water felting techniques. If you finish the finished felt with a simple stitch, you can complete your own tray with a warm sensibility!
- 3 color wall-hanging : Let's go one step further by creating a cute waxing with overlapping curves. You'll learn how to shape the desired shape and connect the three colored felt pieces to complete the wall hanging. The unique cuteness is added, making it a perfect interior accessory for any space.
This time it's a gradient technique and three-dimensional felting!
- gradient tea coaster : Let's try to express gradation with more diverse colors? Using the gradation technique, you can create paint-like colors. I'll show you how to create a circle with water felting and create a natural gradient color on top of it.
- round round mini vase : While making cute mini vases, I get to know three-dimensional works made from water felting. You can leave the mini vase as is or simply insert dried flowers into it, and it will bring life to the space.
Jerk off with a needle-
Even needle techniques
Adding needle techniques to water felting makes it possible to create more diverse works.
- Leaf mobile : As you complete the mobile, you'll learn the basics of needle felting and three-dimensional making with water felting. I'll get to know the needle technique by putting a leaf pattern with a needle on an ornament made of water felting. Then, a wool ball is made to complete the mobile.
- sprinkle pouch : I will use a three-dimensional felting technique to complete the pouch, and partially use a needle needle to add a sprinkle pattern. You can also complete the pouch with your own pattern.
Cozy accessories made with your own touch
Naturally textured wool accessories that present a pleasant feeling of coziness have a unique appeal that cannot be found anywhere else. How about using water felting to complete your own work? :)

Woolfelting, which makes soft wool with a hard texture, is very attractive because it changes physical properties completely differently. I also like the sense of accomplishment that is beautifully finished as much as I put effort into it, and the sense of security given by the warm texture of wool. I want to be able to share the charm of woolfelting, which I love, with many people :-)
