๐Ÿค” Translation, why is it difficult?

Translation is not understanding, but learning.

๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ Translation is not something you can learn if you understand it as a โ€œhead.โ€ It's something you need to learn with your 'body' through repeated training over a long period of time. So just because you take a course, you shouldn't expect to be able to produce a great translation right away.

๐Ÿ™†โ€โ™€๏ธ This class also doesn't immediately turn you into a translator. However, what we can clearly promise can be a valuable compass to guide you the most accurately and efficiently on the path you want to take. You will be able to understand how to study translation and what to consider in order to produce the most appropriate results in the translation process.

Of course, if you are already translating, it will be of great help to upgrade your practical skills right away.

A hands-on translation workshop where more than 300 people have participated so far!

๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ From 2007 until now, there are over 300 people who have completed my practical translation courses, and quite a few of them are working as translators in publishing translation and various fields.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿซ Currently, Toyo translation workshops have been held at the Hankyorรฉ Education and Culture Center for 5 years since 2017.

Read the course reviews from students.

โœจ What is a detailed introduction to my translation courses This placeYou can see more details at

๐Ÿ“ Note: This class is a one-way video lesson, so it's different from a hands-on translation workshop with face-to-face discussions.

  • In this class, we will teach you a systematic summary of the key principles you need to know in the translation process that are applied when evaluating, revising, and improving translations in translation workshops.

๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ By combining field experience as a translator, insight into the translation learning and training process gained while teaching novice translators, and systematic linguistic analysis methods for translation learned at the Graduate School of Translation at the University of Birmingham, UK, we will guide you on the most reliable translation learning method and the path you should take as a translator.

I recommend it to people like this!

๐Ÿ‘† For those studying translation

For those who have studied or learned translation through various methods, this course is most helpful. If you have experienced the difficulties of translation firsthand and tried to create a better translation, you will get a clue that can solve a large part of the problem.

โœŒPeople interested in translation

Just because you're a beginner doesn't mean this class isn't helpful. In order to translate, you will be able to draw an overall picture of how to use your knowledge of foreign languages and Korean, and what and how to study in order to translate.

๐ŸคŸProfessional translators

Most translators in the business have never learned translation in a systematic way. It may be possible to translate with โ€œsenseโ€, but it will be difficult to convince others of the legitimacy of the translation results you have created or to explain to others how much trouble you have made during the translation process using โ€œsenseโ€ or โ€œexperienceโ€ alone. We will give you wings to express your sleeping experience in words.

Hello! I'm Young Sam Yoon, a translator.

I entered the world of publishing and translation in 2003. As I began my career as a translator, I went to graduate school at Birmingham University in the UK to study translation studies in order to understand translation in a deeper way. In addition, I have gained experience as a โ€œtranslation actorโ€ through various activities related to translation, such as publication planning, editing, writing, lectures, and technical translation.

More than 50 volumes have been translated so far, and representative historical books include <The Birth of Arguments>, <Don't Sleep, There's a Snake There>, <Such an enchanting black>, and <The Conspiracy of the Rich >.

Since 2007, I have been conducting translation lectures to train translation translators, and published < Conflicting Translation> in 2015, summarizing the insights gained from studying, experiencing, and teaching translation. Currently, the โ€œToyo Translation Workshopโ€ is being held at the Hankyorรฉ Education and Culture Center.
