Manipulate the light to create the air you want!

Nice to meet you, my name is Nekojishi.

In this class, I will teach you how to draw exciting illustrations centered on “illustrations that feel light,” which I value when drawing pictures.

“I don't know how to apply light”

“How can I draw a variety of lights?”

“The coloring becomes monotonous”

Don't you have this kind of trouble?

I will tell you in detail the know-how of coloring so that you can draw illustrations that attract the eye by making full use of light.

Expressing light is not at all difficult!

Once you learn techniques, you will be able to freely express any kind of light.

Let's create a variety of lights by learning about the direction of the light and the differences in the color of the light depending on the situation!

From coming up with ideas, background techniques, and illustration processing methods,

Here's a detailed introduction to the know-how required from scratch to illustration completion!

In this course, I will explain digital illustrations while drawing one-piece pictures, so in addition to how to express light, I will explain many techniques necessary for drawing one-piece pictures.

From the preparation stage before drawing an illustration, tips for rough and line drawing that won't fail, background techniques anyone can draw, and ways to further improve the appearance of the illustration with color correction and processing ... etc

There's no need to try imitating all the techniques at once or force yourself to incorporate them.

I think that even if you just incorporate one technique you are interested in, the range of illustration expression will expand, so please absorb the techniques little by little at your own pace!

Let's draw pictures while gradually stepping up from basics to application!

This class has a curriculum aimed at beginners to intermediate students.

At the beginning, I will tell you the preparation for drawing an illustration and the basics of coloring to express light, and then I will gradually teach you application techniques, so you can learn them step by step.

I think this class will be especially enjoyed by people like this!

[Creator Interview]

Q. How did your teacher get into illustration?

I've loved drawing since I was a child, so I feel like I've been drawing all the time.

I started digital illustration when I was in the 8th grade of junior high school when I was asked to buy a pen tablet.

I wasn't good at drawing analog one-shots, so it was very attractive to be able to use the “back button” (laughs)

Q. Why did you offer online classes with CLASS101?

I was also learning while watching making-of books and course videos,

This is because I thought it would be nice to disseminate my know-how in this way and that it would be a source of food for someone.

Q. What points did you put the most effort into when planning the class?Who would you recommend this class to?

The point is to “make people feel light,” which is one of the things I value when drawing illustrations.

I would be happy if you could use “light” to expand the range of illustration expression.

Q. What kind of experience do you want the students to have through this class?

Bringing “light” into a painting is not at all difficult.

It's fun to express light! It would be great if people thought of it.

Q. Please give a message to the students!

Nice to meet you again! My name is Nekojishi, an illustrator and video artist.

In this class, from how to express light, come up with ideas, how to draw characters, how to paint eyes, etc... I packed in know-how that I keep in mind when drawing illustrations.

I think the more you know about illustration techniques, the more it becomes your own drawer, and the closer you get to the picture you want to draw.

So I would be happy if you could absorb and use this course as well!

Let's have fun and work hard together!
