What makes this class special

There are many places where you can find out and learn about the various things you need to start a regular cafe. Nowadays, there are many franchise coffee specialty stores, making it even easier to start a business. However, places that combine cafes with other hobbies are rare.

Plant cafes have the advantage of being able to sell plants along with drinks. Also, since it provides a space where guests can relax comfortably and forget the hustle and bustle of city life and relax, it can convey a more friendly and comfortable image than a regular cafe. That's probably why there are so many regular customers at Plant Cafe.

While preparing to start such a botanical cafe, I will share practical stories that are not told anywhere else, such as what are the things you must consider and find out, problems that may occur during operation, and how to deal with them.

Osol Plant Cafe

Hello, I'm Lee Sang-hee and I run a plant cafe near Balsan Station in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. A cafe that sells coffee and drinks manages and sells a wide variety of plants, from various types of rare foliage, rare Western orchids, African plants, hoya, and wild flowers.

My first encounter with Western Orchids took place at the Rare Orchid Farm, which I happened to stop by. I couldn't help but be amazed at the sight and scent of the gorgeous cattleya that filled the farm for the first time. I couldn't forget how Seo-yang Ran faced like fate, so I asked the farm owner to allow me to work part-time. After 6 months of lottery, I worked as a website manager, courier manager, experiential activity training manager, and marketing team leader. Due to the farm environment, I had to do miscellaneous work other than what was right, but I didn't know it was difficult just to see the beautiful Western orchids at the farm, and it always made me happy. I instantly realized that the comfort and happiness that plants give me is greater than any other value, and I decided to share my future life with plants.

The current Osol Plant Cafe, which was founded after leaving the farm based on such experiences, exhibits and sells beautiful Western orchids that bloom seasonally among various types of plants. There aren't many types at the cafe, but the customers who see rare Western orchids are beautiful and want to know how to grow them, so they run one-day classes on woodwork, moss balls, and tiled roof tiles.
