filmlog

Film Log is a premium film storage service where each roll of film is permanently stored in your account and piled up in a row. The LOG (LOG) service, which is the representative function of Film Log, is a web-based platform that already has 20,000 members.

The starting point of the film log began with solving the inconvenience of being a film user. When I take a picture with a film, it is natural that pieces of “developed film” are piled up one by one, and the phenomenon envelopes are often stored in several boxes. When I tried to search for old photos again, I had an uncomfortable experience of not being able to match the scanned photo files stored on the external hard drive with the pieces of film stored in a vinyl file, and I couldn't even take them out of the films stacked in a box. The starting point of the current Film+Log (Film+Log: Record Film) service is to make it easy and convenient to manage the storage method of films that have been accumulated over a long period of time online.

Starting in 2015, Film Log supports the ability to permanently organize and manage film originals in an online “roll of film” account based on an online basis. They are displayed in an archived (archived) manner by date and film type in your account, so you can easily take them out of your hand anytime, anywhere.

Furthermore, it currently supports the ability to select and compare “film-specific” photo impressions through the LOG (LOG) service within the web page. We will soon launch a filmlog mobile app equipped with a function for sorting (sorting) combinations of various cameras and films by adding a variable called 'camera' to this.

Film log site ▶ www.filmlog.co.kr

In the year the film market hit rock bottom, Filmlog launched a development center service. In the hope that the culture and value of film photography would not disappear, someone said it was foolish to work on their own, and they also asserted that it would soon disappear.

Now, I feel that the overall film market pie is growing again, and a new cultural wave is emerging. Our hands help us continue the reputation of film photography by working on phenomena that continue until late at night every day, and this is the driving force that makes us feel that film culture is alive and well.

We think about the role that the development center should take in the future and the meaning of the development center in this era, and pledge ourselves that we are willing to walk that path.

I want everyone to find and store film more easily, and fully appreciate its value. Through an online archiving platform that records one roll at a time, we believe that user-centered technology can make it easier and more frequent for people to meet with film. Film Log will continue to maintain an online storage service that “can be easily retrieved from within the palm of your hand” to the end, and at the same time develop a new field with a sense of mission so as not to lose the original value of film in our time.
