"I have included the things I have always been curious about for the past 15 years."

I do acknowledge that the entry barrier is pretty high due to the expensive equipment required. However, if there is a photo that you wish to take with a Storobo, I believe that you will have much to gain from this class. A photo taken with your own lighting skills that touches you will definitely be able to touch someone else's heart! Such experience will be a good stepping stone for your future.

Also, if you have dreams of becoming a professional, watching and learning the skills of an active photographer will also be a great opportunity for you to break your barriers. I hope that you will be able to debut as a professional photographer and work in the same professional field as me by learning the Strobo light skills from this class.

Like many of you reading this right now, I too, had a time when I felt insecure and anxious on whether I could become a professional photographer. As a person who went through the same path as you did, I can assure you that you will be able to gain much from this class.

Creator Interviews

Q. What kind of activities do you usually do? Please briefly introduce yourself!

A. I have been working as a professional photographer in Tokyo for about 15 years. In the first five years, I have been filming various genres and have settled on taking photography of human figures in the past decade because I just love figure photos! I film with the thought of bringing out the best points of the model and 'taking the best shot a day'. I have been in charge of the official profile pictures of Masachika Ichimura, Takuya Kimura, Shun Oguri, Itsei Takahashi, Takeru Sato, Touri Matsuzaka, Ko Ayano, Kei Tanaka, Mieko Harada, Miki Maya, and Kuroki Hana.

Q. How did you start taking pictures?

A. As an ordinary office worker, I used to look for various jobs that required professional skills as I wanted to learn them before I turned 30. As a result, photography was my choice. I just head-first challenged myself to the industry. I did not go to a professional photography school, and started my career just after 1 year of studio and assistant experience. Through various trial and errors, I taught myself photography and ended up where I am right now.

Q. Why did you decide to offer online classes on CLASS101?

A. CLASS101 approached me first after seeing my Instagram and note (thank YOU!). I started the class with the thought of wanting to support and lead on the path for people who jump into new roads, with courage like me, through CLASS101.

Q. What did you focus on the most when plaaning for the class? To whom would you like to recommend this class?

A. I tried to focus on delivering the lighting skills that I have developed over the past 15 years to the people who really want to learn the basic skills on lighting. You may utilize the skills you learned here to find your own style or use photo editing tools like Photoshop to add your own tastes. There really is no right answer in photography. Be bold and try whatever you wish to try out. I hope this class may help you.

Q. What do you wish for Classmates to gain from this class?

A. 'Rome was not built in a day'. It may seem a little overrated, but I can say that it is also the same for growth as a professional photographer or improvement for your lighting skills. You may be able to effectively learn lighting skills from my class but that is just the beginning. I hope you will be able to find your own lighting skills by practicing many times and learning from your trials and errors. A photo taken with your own lighting skills that touches you will definitely be able to touch someone else's heart! Such experience will be a good stepping stone for your future.
