HYESAE

Hello, this is pen artist, HYESAE.

I draw complicated emotions and feelings of people with a pen.

I've been working both as a designer and artist for quite a long time.

After work at home, I ended my day with drawing my feelings.

I spend 30 minutes to one hour and a half drawing at night, and this is really important for me since I can be solely focused on myself!

Solo Exhibition < Raw Drawing >

I also write along with my drawing. I write down my thoughts like a journal.

When I cannot come up with anything to write, I write down a passage from a book.

I held a solo exhibition on the theme of "Lost in Thoughts" in April, 2019 where I showcased these drawings.

Even though the drawings were all about my own thoughts and stories, many people related to them.

That's when I realized the power of drawing and writing. I also thought that it was important to share thoughts.

Drawing heals me and boosts my confidence. It also serves as a medium to communicate with many people.

Regardless of drawing skills, drawing enables us to understand each other. Then for that reason, I believe that we should keep drawing.

That's why I keep drawing!
