1 set of plum branch chopsticks (30 minutes to 1 hour)
Skills You’ll Learn
Live a sustainable lifestyle with special magewappa made from organic materials.
There are many magewappa in the world, but few are made using traditional methods.
In this class, you can make magewappa and living tools made only from natural materials at home.
Nice to meet you, I'm Nao Kondo, a magewappa artist!
I will also talk about the depth of woodworking and a lot of ancient Japanese wisdom, and it is a fun lesson to learn about the “appeal of magewappa,” which is hardly known to the general public.
In addition, accessories that can be used together with magewappa are also included in the set, so that you can enjoy traditional Japanese living tools in your daily life.
Learn about magewappa from a sustainable perspective
I would like people who want more than just tools and bento boxes, but also the relationship between nature and life, and an opportunity to look back at traditions, to take this course.

Nao Kondo
I work as a magewappa artist and food photographer. The workshop is located in a mountain rich in nature, and I create works every day surrounded by the sunlight filtering through the zelkova trees and the murmuring of the river.
I've been using magewappa since I was a kid, and when I saw a lot of cedars growing in the local mountains, I thought, “I want to make magewappa out of cedar in my town!” I started making it when I came up with the idea. We have gone through trial and error with the desire to make the ideal magewappa, and we have reached now.
Creator Interviews
Q. Why did you offer online classes with CLASS101?
A. Magewappa is a very nice bento box, but there aren't any lessons you can learn or enjoy from a sustainable perspective. People who have bought it up until now are triggered by my magewappa and said, “I want to know the appeal more deeply!” Your voice motivated me to create this online class. Also, since you can watch a lot of videos on CLASS101, the decisive factor was that lessons were easier to understand.
Q. What kind of experiences do you want the students to have through this class?
A. The curriculum is designed in such a way that as learning progresses, life gradually becomes more comfortable. I hope you can experience it in your life.
Q. Please give a message to the students!
A. Magewappa is a very nice bento box. This class fully introduces its charms. Let's learn together!
