While working in graphic design, I create works and do workshops that make use of photographs. Recently, making New Year's cards, which is becoming a life's work, has continued for more than one circle of the zodiac. And daily punch needle making is added to that, and I make something every day.
Punch needle embroidery has thick threads, so it's also a fun point to prick it and see the shape in no time. I don't count the number of eyes like knitting, so I want people to know the fun of making works by sticking them in the gap time.
Q. What points did you put the most effort into when planning the class?
A. I would like to make it for both first-time users and those who have done it a little while referring to the opinions received in the questionnaire! Prototyping was repeated over and over again so that it would be something you could think of.
And the point is to use lots of types of yarn! Punch needles have fewer types of stitches than embroidery that is embroidered using embroidery thread, but for that reason, you can change the expression by using different threads. I hope you can touch various threads and find your favorite yarn.
Q. Please give a message to the students!
A. First of all, I hope you'll get addicted to the feeling of pricking a punch needle! Why doesn't the thread come off? I think there are various questions like that. But once you experience it, I see! It should be. Let's fall in love with the appeal of Punch Needle and have fun creating works together.
