Hello, this is COLLI. I'm an Art in G instructor and a freelance artist.
When you are drawing alone, you may feel stressed and lost about whether your drawing is any good, whether you're doing a good job, or how you can do it better. I was like that too. But I was lucky enough to get over this by meeting and learning from wonderful people at work and the private learning center. I learned how to understand and express myself thanks to them. In return, I would like to share the knowledge and experiences I have gained with those who are currently struggling.

I have participated in various projects concerning realistic work, semi-realistic work, TCG, and global projects. This taught me the characteristics and advantages of different art styles. I also realized that there are many paths to drawing and that an inclusive mindset has a great influence on creativity. Therefore I was able to become a person who is flexible/

I would like to show you the fast route to reaching your goals as an artist by helping you find and improve the weakness, finding potentials that even you didn't realize, and developing them into strengths. As a person who loves drawing, I hope to share moments of thinking, studying, and developing together.
The Beginning of Studying Design: Analyzing & Referencing
In order to draw a good picture, it's important to try drawing a lot, but knowing where to start is also very crucial. I'll explain the principles of design by carefully examining examples so that you could approach that first start correctly and easily. Let's take a look at what proportions are interesting, how patterns and flows are applied through repeated elements, and what styles of drawing there are.
Also, finding and applying references is the beginning of a good drawing. When finding the references, quality is better than quantity. I'll tell you what good materials are and how to apply them to your design.
The Beginning of Light and Color: Lighting
Light, color, and texture are inseparable. <Experience and Lighting>, <Nature and Lighting>, <Studio Lighting>, <Sense and Lighting>. Through these 4 categories, you will learn how to accurately understand light and apply it to your drawing. I'm not just going to just tell you where and how to draw light, but I'll help you apply it yourself and study so that you can use it at any time. If you know the light correctly, you can see the color, and if you understand the color, you can understand and express the texture more easily. Find connections and broaden your understanding.
Character Design: Bringing Life to Your Character
Soft impression, cold impression, clever impression... How could you fully depict the different looks? I'll teach you various ways to express a character's personality. A small difference can completely change a character's concept. You may have experienced coming up with a great concept but ending up making something different because it's too hard to express. I'll help you bring wonderful images in your head to life by looking into using physiognomy to create a character concept, coloring and makeup methods, and deciding eye and face shapes according to your drawing style.
Clothing Design: Pattern and Armor
We'll learn about patterns together. “Why the pattern?” You might ask. Well, patterns play an important role in creating a character's concept. We'll look for patterns that suit the character and create new designs through transformation and iteration. This pattern will be of great help to you when designing characters. A well-made pattern will make it easier to design complicated objects like jewelry, clothing, etc.
Is it difficult to draw armor? Don't worry. If you learn the structure of armor structure and some memory techniques, you can draw everything from realistic armor to imaginary armor. Learn the principles of how an armor moves and separates, and create your own armor through transformation.
Finished Studying? Do a Self-Check!
Check your drawing based on the previous contents. Studying alone can be overwhelming. I'll show you how to objectively evaluate your drawing in such cases. Learn design, lighting, and color feedback methods and try to make use of them.
I hope that through this class, you will be more creative in drawing and take a step closer to becoming a game artist. I want to work with you to make the path I first walked less difficult.
