Go to “Poetry Collection”

Show me your world

Hello, I'm Kim Sun-oh, who writes poetry.

I became a poet through a collection of poems without following the traditional system of winning the New Year's Literary Festival or winning the Rookie Prize for Literature. There were many reasons why I chose this unusual approach, but it was also because of my belief that I have a world of my own that can only be shown through the existence of a “book.”

As a poet, the process of creating a collection of poems was very important, and even though it was not an easy task, it was something that no one told me about. I did too.

I left the company I attended for 4 years and am working as a full-time poet. I've never talked about Life and life as a poetI'll tell you about Writing routines and workloads, and the process and behind-the-scenes publication of the poetry collection “Night Soccer” I'll also share some trivial tips that might be helpful to someone.

Making my first “small poetry collection”

In this lesson, I wrote it myself A collection of small poems consisting of 5 to 10 poems and 1 prose to be included as an appendixI'm planning to try to produce.

I'm going to write a draft poem according to my mission”Poetry creation practice“, Fixing a written poem”Retirement practice', order-setting'Table of contents'I will take the course.

Feel free to write down the first section of prose that will be included as an appendix, but if possible Yourself and your poetryI'm going to talk about What kind of person am I, why do I write poetry, and what kind of poetry do I want to writeThere is definitely a difference between just thinking about and writing. I hope you will take this opportunity to think more deeply and in a fun way.

I will read and study various texts together about how other poets have composed their own collections of poems, and what kind of poems have recently been welcomed.

Deeper than a poem

A collection of poems

The experience of creating a collection of poems is clearly different from the experience of writing a poem. The same goes for poems written with the existence of a collection of poems in mind.

If you put the poems I've written together What was my style, what was my idea of literature, what I felt was beautiful, and what I wanted to talk about through the tool of language You can know the like.

too Poems that were separated from each other are intertwined in a material called a book with a single title, and have a special relationshipYou may also get it.

Identifying one's own language through the experience of bundling my poems into one volume, and experiencing the process of taking a leap to the next level by organizing one world will be a special study for everyone who wants to write.

Once you've finished a sausage shop, a bundle of poems you've made together Post to publishersYou can also try it. Print it in the form of a book Gifts for loved onesYou can do it. I'll help you get one step closer to being a poet in a variety of ways.

Being a poet is not a job

They say it's a state, but

That's right. It's not easy to write poetry just because of the attitude of a person who lives a daily life. Maybe living as a poet An endless training process to maintain oneself in a “poetry writing state” It's the same thing.

I didn't major in Korean Language or Creative Writing, so I was eager for a place where I could learn and talk about poetry when I was a student. I would like to talk with people like me who are writing alone about me in the “state of writing poetry.”

Well then, I'll be waiting for you in class.
