Skills You’ll Learn
This is an animal embroidery class where you can enjoy intermediate and applied lessons
This is the second installment of our popular animal embroidery class.
Further develop the method obtained in the first installment,Realistic animal embroidery using long and short stitchesLet's try it. You can enjoy learning accessories, beads, and decoration methods that go well with animal embroidery. By knowing how animal embroidery is made, you can get clues to create your ideal work.
Learn how to express the coat of small animals in a more cute way
Realistic animal embroidery taught by Mayuka Morimoto, who has created many works that can express the cuteness of small animals. We will teach lessons with efficient ways to make them, which the teacher thought through repeated trial and error every day.
The first lesson was basic and introductory, but this lesson consists of intermediate and applied curriculum content. Continuing from the first step, we will understand how animal coats are made, and finally we will proceed with lessons so that you can embroider realistic animals using long and short stitches. If you find it difficult to finish with long and short stitches, you can also proceed using only simple stitches.
Of course, even if you haven't taken the first course, there is no problem with taking the second course.
You can enjoy original designs only for this class
In chapter 1chipmunk accessory pouchI will make it.
The pose of holding a walnut with a small hand embroidered an adorable chipmunk, framed in an oval with a beautiful rope ribbon, and finished with a stylish drawstring pouch.
In chapter 2rabbit broochTake on the challenge.
Embroider a rabbit in a sitting pose with a corolla decorated with beads and finish it as a brooch. Once you learn how to make this, you will be able to make brooches of any shape.
It's also great to wear it on a bag or clothes, coordinate it, and go out.
In chapters 3 to 4, a small bird like a white fairy in Hokkaido,Striped eel hoop workI will make it.
The striped eel is a cute little bird that lives and is distributed only in Hokkaido. The expression of a plump white belly and gradation from feather to tail should be a step up to better express the animal's coat.
And in the final chapter, Chapters 5-6Cat face hoop workI will make it.
With long and short stitches, a wide area is pierced to express the coat's appearance. While being aware of the coat that stretches in various directions, I embroider not only the coat color of the face and ears, but also the shadows.
Once the cat's face is ready, let's finish it by decorating it with flowers and leaves.
Hoop creations can also be displayed in your favorite frame
You can decorate your finished hoop work by putting it in an embroidered frame as it is, but we also recommend that you enjoy putting it in a frame of your choice that matches the size of the design. Frames are not included in the kit, but be sure to pair them with your favorite frames and enjoy your own creations.

[Creator Interview]
Q. What kind of activities does the teacher do? Please tell us briefly about your teacher.
I make works that can express the cuteness of small animals. Not only are they realistic, but they are also doing trial and error on how to make them concretely and efficiently.
Q. What led you to start embroidering?
I originally liked small animals, and I began to think that it would be fun if I could express them with embroidery.
Q. Why did you start online classes in CLASS101?
While I was in Hokkaido, I thought the system of being able to open lessons to many people would be wonderful, so I started the course.
Q. What points did you put the most effort into planning the class? Who would you recommend this class to?
Animal embroidery may seem difficult, but we are focusing on making it as easy to understand as possible, and to make it easier to make by reducing the number of colors. I recommend it to those who tried it themselves but couldn't finish it the way they expected.
Q. What would you like the students to experience through this class?
I want you to experience the joy of being able to shape your ideals.
Q. What would you like to say to the students?
I hope you enjoy it just like last time!
