Becoming an engineer that is in constant demand

When I graduated from Musicians Institute in 2010, I had no idea what it'd take to get to where I'm at. Before the fancy titles like multi-platinum and GRAMY-winning, my professional career as an audio engineer was anything but promised. Whether I was picking up trash and cleaning restrooms as an unpaid intern, delivering food as a minimum wage runner, or working 90-hour weeks as an established freelancer, my success has been based on a series of choices. Every breakthrough moment came from taking a chance, and if there's on thing I've learned over the past decade, fear is a direction more than it is a feeling - let it guide you. My passion for music has taken me around the world and put me in the same room as some of my idols. It's a privilege to help fellow creatives execute their vision, and audio engineering it an art; I treat it as such.

This Class Is For

Spending countless hours creating a song just to have it reach short of its potential is one of the most frustrating feelings in music. For years I struggled with the same problem. I have been an engineer for 10+ years now and I want to show you some of the things that I have learned on this journey to being a GRAMMY winning mix engineer. This class is geared towards students with a basic understanding of signal flow and mixing.

Class Takeaways

After taking the class, students will be equipped to provide a professional level mix for themselves or client. This class will include a beginning to end walkthrough of the mixing process.

Students will also be able to complete a full mix of a stemmed out song, from beginning to end.
