About the class

Do you like natural wood accessories and furniture?

Hello, this is Project No Plan.

I started making furniture because I liked the natural sensibility of wood. As I made furniture, I naturally became interested in rattan, and now I run a rattan workshop in Songpa-gu and even repair rattan furniture together.

Rattan is a natural material and has been used for furniture and small items for a long time.

Recently, interest in rattan furniture has increased even more as mid-century modern interiors have become a trend. In particular, rattan is commonly seen in vintage furniture. Most old rattan furniture has a sturdy frame, but unfortunately there are many cases where the rattan part that was woven together was damaged and unfortunately unusable. I find it very rewarding to repair and reinvent these pieces of furniture.

I wanted to introduce the appeal of rattan furniture that I feel to all of you, so I decided to prepare a class.

If I could only hammer Such a nice piece of furniture You can make it yourself. I told you how to combine rattan with a self-made wood frame, and included the know-how to make it stronger and cleaner with cane sheets. I'm also going to make a practical rattan side table by weaving a pattern directly into a wooden frame with a wooden frame.

At the end, we'll teach you how to make your own rattan furniture, so once you're done, fill your space with rattan furniture of your own design!

What makes this class special

A self-made frame unique to the No Plan Project

Let me introduce you to a one-of-a-kind frame made by myself, from choosing the wood material to the design. The most suitable wood was selected and designed for each item on the tray, soba, and side table. You can only find it in Class 101!

It's easy to make if you can just hammer

Traditional rattan crafts are made by weaving them one by one, so it takes a relatively long time and may seem difficult, but in this rattan furniture, anyone can easily make it by inserting a cane sheet into the frame if they can just hammer it.

Hello, this is No Plan Project running a rattan workshop in Songpa-gu.

Currently, I am doing rattan classes and repairing rattan furniture.

I started rattan furniture because there are many products made overseas and there are no places where they can be repaired in Japan. While repairing many people's rattan furniture, I feel a sense of accomplishment because I feel like putting new clothes on the furniture and making it come back to life.

I hope you will also get to know rattan furniture through this class and fill your space warmly with homemade rattan furniture.
