Skills You’ll Learn

How to make cotton cat swab art

Explain the materials to be prepared and the key points to make

Challenge yourself with cotton swab art that can be enjoyed by adults and children alike!

I will explain how to make cotton swab art for the hugely popular cotton cat workshop.

Cotton Cat is an artist couple who love cats and are active in Japan.

You can create cute works by inserting a cotton swab cut in half into a cardboard cat claw.

The tools to use are easy to obtain, and since no adhesives are used, it's easy for children to take on challenges, and even if they fail, they can start over as many times as they want.

The class will explain how to make a cat's face, but be sure to try making something you want to make!

Effects you can expect after taking the course

  • Through production, you will develop the imagination to turn familiar things into art
  • You can train your concentration to work steadily and steadily

Let's create a lovely piece of art with creative cotton swab art like no other!

The things you make can be hung on a wall or displayed on a shelf.

Even if you fail, you can start over and over again, and if you get hooked, time runs out in no time.

I make small-sized works in class, but once you get used to it, it might be a good idea to take the time to try larger works.

If you show it to your friends, you'll definitely be surprised if you haven't seen anything like this!

Cotton Cat is an art unit working as a couple between Shohei Shirai (sculptor) and Nobuko Inumaru (Japanese painter). I currently live with 4 cats at home. I started cotton swab art with a sense of fun, and I'm so happy that so many people can see it when they notice it.
