I came across miniature food in 2020/6 when I was looking for a hobby I could do at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
I became interested when I saw a TV commercial about miniature food that I saw by chance, and I started creating on my own while referring to books and YouTube. I had never touched clay, and I started completely inexperienced, but I was drawn into the appeal of making miniatures, and when I found free time, I began to work hard on production.
I opened an Instagram on the day I created my first miniature, and as I posted my daily work, the number of followers gradually increased, and an online shop was opened six months later, and a year later, in 2021/10, I exhibited for the first time at the Miniature Bakery World Exhibition held in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Sapporo, and Fukuoka.
In 2022, the number of followers on Instagram exceeded 20,000, and even now, beside event exhibitions and consignment sales, trial and error is repeated every day, how can we make it look more realistic? Does it look delicious? I am continuing to create works while pursuing.
