This class connects “retro pop feeling” and “home recording production flow” at once, The process of completing an idea into a song and uploading itThis is a hands-on class where you can learn step by step.

Organize the mood in language, experience with your own ears how the choices of Mars and rhythm change the impression of the song, and then transfer that feeling to an actual home recording A routine to complete a song to the endI will create

First, sort out the moods often used in retro pop (warmth/nostalgia, urban coolness, dreamy dream pop, etc.) Major and minor fill, Chromatic Mars (chromatic Mars), **Understand “levers that create feelings” through various directions of rhythm and groove (8 straight beats, soul/R&B, 4 on the floor, shuffle, etc.) **. Mood is subjective, but if we organize it in our own impressions and language, choices will be faster and work will not be shaken. Music is an art of hearing, but it is also connected to other senses such as sight and touch, so I also practice capturing the mood by imagining images and emotions together.

Next is setting up a home recording environment that turns my room into a studio. Organize the minimum equipment (PC/laptop, audio interface, microphone, monitoring equipment) by budget, and learn basic concepts common to DAW (audio device/driver, sample rate, buffer size) based on Logic Pro. Above all How to properly capture the input gain for the first recording testLearn and reduce early mistakes such as clipping and noise.

The core of this class is “analysis → reference → reconstruction”. When dealing with existing songs Analyze the characteristics of Song Form, Hwaseong, and MelodyThen, change that analysis to a prompt AI reference demoCreate and compare. If it's a creative song, I first organize the mood I want in a language, create a prompt, and decide the direction of arrangement through references. AI is not the right answer here Tools to increase optionsAnd the final choice is up to my own taste and judgment.

Afterwards, the focus was on retro acoustic arrangements (acoustic guitar, piano, bass, simple drums/percussion, vocal harmonies), When and what kind of instruments will be introduced Create a layout map for each section and refine tone designs (guitar strokes, vocal doubling, spatial margins, instrument doubling methods, etc.) that create a warm texture. Also, while actually recording vocals and instruments, we will practice how to build and select takes, how to naturally attach them to clicks/grids, and even techniques for processing tuning and editing (organizing timing, pronunciation, and breathing) with minimal correction. Finally, we organize the sound through mixing and mastering, and continue to the upload and sharing stage.

In the last lesson Checks, routines, and next steps I will continue. Remind the workflow again and create a repeatable routine by narrowing down “what to change in the next song” with a self-feedback template. Also, it clearly distinguishes what AI is good at and what it is not good at, rather than writing a demo as it is My vocals, performances, and storiesIt summarizes the direction of creating subjectivity with At the end of the day, this class has only one goal—A work habit where recording is repeated naturally every day like exercise without being burdensome as workThis is it. If you work steadily, you can experience changes in technology and sound flow, and you can keep updating your music even in the midst of those changes.
