Are you curious about how Git and GitHub are being used in practice?

Using Git in practice means that it can be skillfully used as a collaborative tool in software development. Simply knowing the features or commands of Git and GitHub is not enough. You must be able to establish standard Git Flow policies for work collaboration, and you must be able to collaborate smoothly with colleagues according to established policies.

After studying this course, even beginners who don't know anything about Git and version control can establish and use new Git Flow policies and have the ability to follow the team's Git Flow policies and apply them directly to their work.

(POINT 1) Even beginners who don't know anything about Git or version control will have the ability to use Git and GitHub in practice after learning.

(POINT 2) You will be able to establish a standard Git Flow policy for work collaboration and effectively collaborate with colleagues according to that policy.

(POINT 3) We provide practical learning that you can experience through role-specific scenarios, from the basic functions of Git and GitHub to collaboration.

(POINT 4) You can learn Git and GitHub in various operating system environments such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.

(POINT 5) Senior developers are dedicated to Q&A about the course to provide in-depth knowledge necessary for practical use.

Section 1: Git & GitHub for team projects

Versions and version control systems understand the need and prepare an environment for future practice.

Section 2: Learn Git Basic Commands

Learn the basic flow of Git and GitHub source management, and explore Git's key commands for project management. Set up a project as a Git repository through an exercise of managing personal projects with Git. Let's take a step-by-step look at the process of creating a commit for a version control file and then pushing it to a remote repository on GitHub.

Section 3: Git Flow

Learn Git's branch concepts and Git Flow. Finish preparing to build an environment for Git Flow and practice team projects. In this exercise, you will divide the roles of the team leader and team member, and practice for each role in parallel.

Section 4: Scenario 1 - Feature Development

In the first Git Flow scenario, we create a feature branch (Feature branch) for feature development. In the actual field, various demands are poured out from various teams. To effectively manage these requirements, you'll learn about GitHub's features, how to create and manage issues, and how to use Projects boards.

Section 5: Scenario 2 - Launch

In the second Git Flow scenario, we create a Release branch for the release. When the developed code version of the team project is released in the actual field, this release branch (Release branch) is created, tested by the Quality Assurance (QA) team, and then release-oriented work is carried out by reflecting the issues that have occurred. Let's do this release-oriented exercise.

Section 6: Scenario 3 - Emergency Fixes

In the third Git Flow scenario, an emergency fix branch (hotfix branch) is created to urgently fix bugs that occurred in the released version. An emergency fix branch (hotfix branch) is a branch used for unexpected deployment and immediately creates and responds when there is a problem with the stability of the deployed code. In this scenario, we will practice the process of closing a branch after resolving a critical bug that occurred during operation through a hotfix branch (Hotfix branch).
