About Zoe

Hello, I'm Joy, and I've been working as a solo hobby since I first came across rattan crafts 6 years ago.

Then, as a result of a good relationship, I met students as a rattan craft instructor, and I started a class. We also teach at the Cultural Center, and we are helping many people who are interested in rattan crafts to experience rattan crafts a little easier through one-day classes and regular classes.

In this class For those who are new to rattan crafts, I will teach you basic weaving techniques so that you can apply them to make your own props I'm trying to help you.

KakaoTalk_20180604_170950566.jpg

As you slowly weave the rattan out, time will pass by. I would like to share the pride of spending my own time focusing only on rattan crafts and making my own finished products a little away from the same everyday life.

Estimated class time

There are a total of 10 chapters in the class, and you will try to create 5 rattan items. For each item, it is expected that it will take 1-2 hours for Chapters 1 to 4 and 3 to 5 hours for Chapters 5 to 10 to actually produce.

We offer a course period so that you can leisurely touch each rattan strand by strand and even create applied items.

The time required may vary depending on the individual and the speed of progress.

What do you learn?

Learn how to use rattan 재료1.jpg

The goal is to learn how to use rattan and get to know rattan. I'm going to take my own time as I weave them one by one. I will explain in detail how to make the rattan less difficult by making it easier to handle and how to weave it together when the rattan is broken.

Learn various techniques of rattan crafts 작업손.jpg

In this class, you will make a total of 5 kinds of props through 4 kinds of rattan props and a tea coaster that you can make with rattan characters. I'm going to try applying different techniques of rattan crafts to each prop. The lessons are conducted via video, but I will tell you in detail the techniques used at the end of each prop so that the students can make them their own. By the time you finish class, you'll be fascinated by the charm of rattan.

Apply rattan crafting techniques to create your own rattan props KakaoTalk_20180604_170948844.jpg

The package contains more rattan materials than you would practice in class. Also, even if you make one small item, you can complete a variety of rattan accessories depending on how you add a pattern or finish the border. How about making your own techniques from the class through practice, applying them, and extracting your skills with your own rattan props?

Rattan (700g)

We use a 2mm thick heart, which is most commonly used in basket making. It is a natural color that has not been bleached, and it can emphasize the naturalness of rattan, so it is most commonly used. Due to the nature of rattan, the color may not be uniform, and it is a natural product itself. I'll add plenty of rattan so that you can create your own work even after completing this class.

drill

It helps you put padding blades easily, and is also useful for cleaning the space between ratans. Colors are randomly prepared.

Flower scissors

It is used to cut the final finish, slit blades, etc., and to clean up rattan. Colors are randomly prepared.

sprayers

Rattan must be soaked in water when used to prevent it from bending and breaking. I prepared a sprayer to spray water on the rattan in the middle of the class, and the color is random.

tape

It is a tape measure used to measure or arrange ratans, and to cut a blade or a slit according to the length.

Rattan package

This package is for those who already have the tools! Except for the tools, I'll send you more rattan!

Rattan (850 g)

We use a 2mm thick heart, which is most commonly used in basket making. It is a natural color that has not been bleached, and it can emphasize the naturalness of rattan, so it is most commonly used. Due to the nature of rattan, the color may not be uniform, and it is a natural product itself.
