Now it's time to add color to my video
Hi, I'm DEWY working as a video freelancer:)
I have produced videos of various genres, including commercials, web dramas, music videos, documentaries, and movies. In order to complete a video, it is necessary to go through various processes, from planning to shooting, editing, and special effects. If you've made a video at least once, you've probably had a moment where you felt like something was lacking just by shooting and editing. What you need at this time is color grading and color correction.

What is color grading?
Color grading and color correction literally means correcting the color of an image. I'm sure all of you have experienced color correction at least once. Applying a filter to a photo using a mobile phone app, or adjusting the brightness, contrast, and saturation of a photo with a Photoshop program are all part of color correction.
The video is no different from the photo. This is because a video is created by combining many photos. Therefore, color correction that can add aesthetic value while providing uniformity to all scenes is essential. Just like photos, there is a program that can correct the color of images. It's a program called “Da Vinci Resolve.” If the photo has Photoshop, the video has a Da Vinci Resolve. Using this tool, you can make professional color corrections to videos.
Through color grading, we are able to find “color” in images.
I'm new to Da Vinci Resolve, is that okay?
Many of you may have heard of the Da Vinci Resolve program for the first time. Da Vinci Resolve is a “comprehensive video software.” In particular, it is a program that has become an industry standard as a tool specialized in color correction. Recently, through an update, not only color correction, but also editing and effects functions have been enhanced, making it even more useful. The biggest advantage of da Vinci Resolve is that you can get started for free. Of course, there's a paid version, but apart from the fact that some features are limited, you can enjoy plenty of features even for free. All of the features you'll learn in this course are also available in the free version.
For those of you who are curious, I'll also introduce the features in the paid version in the middle of the course, but don't worry, even if you don't buy the paid version, there's no problem taking the course!
Color correction was overwhelming, now let's paint with me
Have you always wanted to learn about color correction, but weren't sure where to start?
You've been studying on your own by searching through books and YouTube, but there's no end to learning and learning?
Not sure if the color you just corrected is in the right direction?
It's all fine. I was also able to understand the mentality of the students and set the direction of the course because I also had problems that I had gone through while studying color correction on my own.
This class does not teach you the correct answers or formulas. This is because there is no right answer to color correction. For example, if you want to create a color like a “film movie,” you can try to create the color of a film movie in a variety of ways. Also, since each person thinks of a “film movie” look is different, a hundred people might get a hundred film LOOKs.
I can't tell you the correct answer or formula for color correction. This is because, as I explained earlier, there is no right answer in the first place. However, I can be a good guide to help you understand colors and create the look you want.
From basic theory to endless usage tips
In this class, I'm going to teach you step by step, starting with the basic theory required for color correction. Also, based on this, we will look at the various functions of Da Vinci Resolve and see how they can be applied to videos. After that, I'll try to create various looks through various examples, and make extensive use of the features I learned earlier! Furthermore, we will pack all the tips for more efficient color correction in practice:)
- Basic theory required for color correction - photographing/editing/color
- Explain and apply the core functions of da Vinci Resolve
- Making a variety of LOOK
- Tips for efficient color correction
- Davinci Resolve 17 - This lesson is based on Da Vinci Resolve 17. It doesn't matter if it's a free version or a studio (paid) version.
- Both Windows and Mac are irrelevant, but classes are based on Mac. Special cases such as shortcuts will be explained separately on a Window basis.
- We recommend using a mouse with a wheel whenever possible. (due to the function added to the mouse wheel)

DEWY Feelm
Hello
I'm DEWY (DEWY) who works as a video freelancer!
While working in various fields of video post-production such as editing, motion graphics, and color correction, I have been working on various videos such as movies, commercials, music videos, and web dramas. Among them, my favorite field is color correction.
More than just adding color to an image, color correction plays an important role in empowering the story and emotion of the video. I also started color correction as a self-taught student, so I've gone through a lot of trial and error until now. As a result, I held this class with my own know-how and experience that I learned. Nice to meet you:)
