introductions

Mitton Studio Hobby Class 101, which I met on the app, met to create an online class of handmade mitten wool dolls.

About Mitton Studio

While working as a character designer and stop-motion animator, I had a relationship with Sheep Mo, and it's been 8 years since I opened Mitton Studio to capture those cozy dolls in heartwarming images. Currently, it is operated as a studio and small workshop in Seochon. I work on wool dolls in various fields, such as commercials, movies, and fairy tale characters, and I'm doing classes in the Sheepskin Doll Expert Class. Last year, I also published the book “My First Wool Doll,” and I'm trying to promote wool felt a lot.

Just by looking at them, I think the cozy wool dolls take a lot of time and effort to create shapes by stabbing them with sharp needles, making them even more precious and heartwarming. Take along a wool doll with your own sensibility and capture your precious memories.

I like drawing pictures, but I prefer making something three-dimensional. I wanted to make my own doll and go with them everywhere, and I was brought to life with photos and videos that captured the sensibility of the doll. There were no space restrictions and the weight was light, so we were able to work together anywhere. I think wool work, which has a warm appeal with a variety of colors and cozy textures, filled my empty mind one by one and gave me time to focus on myself.

First-time wool makers may have a lot of trouble because they are unfamiliar with special needles and don't know the characteristics of wool. Therefore, many people think that the desired shape cannot be created even if it takes a long time. In the Meet Me class, I'll show you how to make something fun without taking too long, based on my long experience. It will be a time to learn techniques for understanding wool materials, how to use needles, and how to handle wool step by step.

Let's focus exclusively on me and create a cozy healing time that brings out the girly sensibility within me.

Making basic shapes for wool dollsI don't really know the amount of yarn in the wool, so it probably wasn't easy to make the size I wanted. A clean expression for making a wool dollWhen I make wool, the thread easily swells and unravels, and the surface is not clean, so it sometimes looks messy. Here are some tips on how to refine the shape in a clean and cute way and even create a delicate and cute expression.
