Leather crafts, don't stop as a hobby and become more professional!

Hello, I'm Lee Jiwon from Studio Rap Deep. Class 101 was my first leather craft class, and I shared everything from the basics of leather crafting to bag making with many of my classmates. I'm happy to welcome you to this second leather craft class.

If the first class was a course to focus on the appeal of leather while making leather products according to a fixed schedule, then this class More than just an experienceThe contents of have been prepared. How to make your own design a realityLearn leather crafts More professionally I focused on developing it as a hobby that I could learn and continue, or something more than a hobby.

How can I teach leather crafting, which is a difficult field for self-study? How can I teach this hobby well? What content is helpful for standing alone? While running the first class, I shared feedback with many of my classmates and filled in the gaps. After a long period of trouble, I would like to share the in-depth details of leather crafts in another class.

It's not just about following

If you want to make your imagination a reality,

The process of making small items with leather crafts is accompanied by pride. However, at some point, a task that only repeats itself and does not allow you to move forward may become frustrating or uninteresting. I want to learn leather crafts properly, but I don't deserve to find a place to learn, and I'm probably disappointed with the curriculum that only involves making along.

In this class, I would like to solve the parts that I felt so sorry in a cool way. It's not just about following, or just doing repetitive tasks. I designed the curriculum so that I can work proactively and implement and develop the desired design on my own.

2 keys to advanced leather craftsmanship,

Understanding and detailing patterns!

Basic leather crafting work is good enough, too. But it would be even more fun if I could freely pull out the design from my head and make it real. I prepared a course so that I could fully understand the pattern and try out various variations.

Begin by learning about various types of patterns prior to a full-scale pattern class. We will learn more about the four patterns I, M, T, and H, which are popular and suitable for application. Once you have an understanding of patterns, you will learn how to make full use of patterns by doing design modifications directly in class. After this process is over, the many bags you see on the street will catch your eye from a different perspective than before.

Next, learning the details one by one will add depth to your leather craft. The overall impression of the bag depends on how the bag is combined, the shape of the handle, the method of finishing, and how the zipper is connected. I'll fully explain these detail-making elements and help you apply them to your bag one by one.

To be able to learn and grow properly,

A class is divided into two main parts.

The first part is a process of learning and practicing skills. While making a bag from vegetable leather that has already been cut, it's about relaxing yourself by learning basic skills such as saddle stitching, applying an edge coat, and bonding necessary to make a bag. The materials for the first part are sent with the pattern, leather, and decoration all ready to be cut.

In the second part, we design a bag of a given shape, make a pattern, and even cut it. You will directly challenge all of the courses that follow from beginning to end. You will create a pattern as desired, and also cut it by placing the pattern directly on an uncut leather ledger.

At this time, you will also learn how to use chrome leather instead of vegetable leather, and use lining and reinforcement materials. It's literally just doing the whole process yourself from beginning to end! It may not be an easy process, but your skills will have greatly improved after this course is over.

Beginners learn step by step,

Experienced people can get interesting tips.

Since there is a part where you can learn skills by practicing with leather that has already been cut, it is a class that beginners can follow step by step if they take the time to practice hard. Also, for those who have enjoyed leather crafts since the beginning, it will be a class that gathers together the parts that have been frustrating or disappointing, like a reliable guide.

The kit carefully prepared by the expert Studio Lab Deep according to the actual course you are taking will be of great help in the process of learning leather crafts.

I'm already looking forward to the variety of leather bags you'll create. Let's get started together?

Wait, let's have a taste of the class content.

This is the production process for the “H-shaped bucket bag,” which is one of the four completed works.

1) Draw a picture of the work you want to create. (design)

2) Once you have decided on the right size and details, move the details one by one onto the pattern and draw them carefully.

3) Cut the patterns you have drawn one by one and place them on a non-woven fabric to be simulated and draw them.

4) Quickly make a non-woven fabric or fabric, get a rough feel, and prepare to cut the leather and fabric.

5) Before cutting leather (outer fabric) and fabric (lining), try to arrange patterns so that they can be used efficiently.

6) We carefully cut the leather one by one.

7) Finish the preparation before putting them together by applying an edge coat to each of the cut leathers and putting them together.

8) Combine them one by one to complete them.

9) As a finish, apply an edge coat where needed to enhance the finish.

voila! integrationIt looks like one!

When you make it in a real class, you'll be able to adjust and design all the size and details of the bag yourself according to your own wishes. Experience how little differences in proportions or details make a complete bag different. Show me your own bag!

Hello! I'm Lee Jiwon from Studio Rap Deep =)

I started leather crafts as a hobby and fell in love with them,

It's been 8 years since I set up and operated my own workshop.

Are you curious about the meaning of Studio Labdip?

Labdip (labdip) is a compound word of lab (lab) and dip (slightly dipping)

As the first step in testing an idea in a lab, it means a light testing process.

It's a word that contains my heart when I first started the workshop, and my heart for dealing with life!

Always have fun trying with a light heart

Studio Labdip and that's my philosophy.

I run a workshop, meet and teach various students,

I enjoyed teaching something.

What has always been disappointing is that due to the nature of leather crafts, classes can only be conducted with a small number of people at a time,

It was a fact that I couldn't share what I knew with more people.

I am thrilled to be able to meet more people through CLASS 101.

For many of you who were curious about leather crafts in my course,

I hope it will be an opportunity to quench your thirst like an oasis!
