With Monday Cook sewing

I make everything in the world with felt art.

Hello, I'm Monday Cook, a sewing designer. I've been working as a graphic designer for over 10 years. Since I worked a lot on computers, I mainly dealt with graphics on the monitor, but then I felt like I wanted to make three-dimensional objects that can be touched by hand.

I stumbled upon a felt art work by a British freelance designer that I came across on social media, bought felt paper, and started my own work. When something cold and hard, like spam or pure pepper, is made of felt, the result is soft and warm. I just used different materials for things of the same size, but the feeling was very different.

I usually enjoyed painting, so I used to keep my favorite objects as pictures, but after I started felt art, I kept things through sewing instead of painting. I was happy to be able to keep the one-of-a-kind goods in the world by making my own iconic items that have appeared in my favorite dramas and movies.

At first, I worked with one type of felt paper, but now, as I learned that there are various types of felt paper for different uses, my work area has gradually expanded.

I continue to enjoy the felt life by making it in various sizes and for various uses.

Meet the fun of felt art that I would like to introduce to everyone through the Class101 online class!

Felt art is still new to you, right?

It's an easy and fun way to create.

What materials will be used mainly in class peltsIt's. That felt paper, which you can easily find in stationery stores, is right. Felt art refers to all creative activities using felt in a comprehensive sense.

Felt is both like paper and fabric. It can be cut as easily as paper with scissors and sewn like fabric. In this class, we will combine these two advantages to create a block work with a three-dimensional effect.

If you just look at the finished work, you may immediately think of it as needle felt (wool felt), but it's all different from needlefelt, which uses wool, from the material to the method of work. Felt art using felt paper with a variety of colors and thicknesses will help many people do their hobbies in the future.

Hallo This is a designer Monday cook who stitches.

As a former graphic designer, I wanted to make the graphics on my monitor into something I could touch with my hands.

I came across felt paper when I was looking for a material that has a variety of colors like colored paper and can make various shapes like clay.

As a regular fan of drawing, I enjoyed the process of drawing a pattern, and I also enjoyed the soft touch when I touched the finished object.

I started making my favorite items one by one by cutting them with scissors, putting in cotton, and finishing with sewing.

Time went by really fast when I was sewing. I was also healed by bruising and sewing like meditating.

This class is a class where you cut felt paper and sew with me.

The final goal of the lesson is to enable you to create your own new designs other than the existing ones. After stubbornness, you will be able to use 100% felt paper, which is useful in many ways.
