Something special that cannot be imitated by crafting alone.

Let's meet Choal Jewelry created by planting stones.

A twinkling star seems to have fallen in the middle of a desert, a perfect sparkle even if you pretend to be nonchalant! This is the appeal of Choal Jewelry. Let me introduce you to a silver jewelry crafting class that contains the secrets of making special superfine jewelry that cannot be created by handwork alone.

Hello, I'm Choi Anna from the jewelry brand “Karak”.

There are many types of classes offered at Karak Studio, and by far the super jewellery class is the most popular. I think it's through the unique sensibility of Choal Jewelry, which cannot be produced using general techniques. I wanted to share the fun of the process online, so I came to class 101 like this.

It's easy for anyone to make one,

It's not a technology that can be easily accessed everywhere.

Many students who have majored in metalwork visit the Choal Jewelry class. This is because major classes require skills and understanding in another area where you can't access the content. A student who is a metalcraft major was delighted to understand the tips and principles of casting from Karak, as if he had everything in the world.

For those who are new to metal crafts, those who are already in the industry or majoring in metal crafts, or those who have experienced it through other metalcraft classes! In this class, which will be a special time, I will fully share the production process and principles of Choal Jewelry.

There are many ways to set stones in jewelry.

Bezel setting, prong setting, pavé setting, channel setting, visible setting, tension setting, etc.

These are common methods for setting stones in the finished metal state of the jewelry.

How the stone is set also determines the overall feel of the jewelry.

“Choal setting” has the characteristic of setting the stone from the wax stage.

This is a special feature that is different from the normal setting method.

Setting from the wax stage means that the set stone also enters the kiln with the wax and can withstand temperatures over 900 degrees.

Therefore, it has the peculiarity that only heat-resistant stones can be set.

Using only soft wax

I'll make it easy and fun.

As the material called metal has so many possibilities, it can seem difficult. In this class, we'll start with the softest soft wax.

Even if you just roll up the sunwax sent in the package in a circle and paste it,

After going through the casting process, you'll have a pretty ring in the shape of a basic donut.

Just set stones of various shapes on this basic type of wax

How's it going?

You can make the most basic type of ring with sunwax.

It can only be produced in a variety of ways depending on the type and color of the stone.

If you melt the wax and fix the stone, the wax may become bumpy.

It may seem flimsy, but

Rather, it's a setting that makes even the undulating appearance look pretty.

You don't have to have big equipment, no great tools, and no need to use fire! I'll try to create the jewelry you want without messing up my room with complicated processes. You can create high quality jewelry beyond your imagination with just the preparation kit prepared by Karak.

Don't throw away any wax left over after production. Here are some tips for creating simple everyday jewelry. There's nothing to throw away, right?

Passed numerous tests

I'll send you a ready stone.

There are a variety of stones on the market, but there are only a few stones that can withstand temperatures above 900 degrees in a kiln for ultra-fine jewelry production. If you pick the wrong stone, the color will change or break.

The stones sent to you as a preparation kit are children who have been directly filtered, filtered, and selected through a lot of trial and error. No matter where or how you cast it, there is no failure. Also, I'll tell you which stones you need to choose from the class to be suitable for making super jewelry, so you will be able to pick the right stone even when making your own super jewelry after being stubborn.

Free casting tickets for classmates!

I'll also collect all the appropriate foundry shops and let you know.

In order to complete ultra-fine jewelry, it is necessary to go through an appropriate casting process. It's not possible to complete it properly with a normal casting. Classmates who have taken the class will receive a one-time free pass to use castings for free at Karak's “Garak Kobo”.

In addition, we will also provide you with a summary of the appropriate casting house information, so please proceed with the casting work according to your situation.

The color you want, where you want it.

A piece of jewelry that can't be found anywhere else is completed.

If you understand the wax material through this class and practice enough, you will be able to become a super jewelry master.

I would like to tell you in detail where to buy various materials, purchase tips, and how to leave castings so that you can continue working even after the class is over.

Have you decided which stones to decorate and how?
